RDX Technology Pkg vs Advance Pkg
I am in the market for a new 2016 RDX and I see a $2750 price difference to upgrade from a tech pkg to advance pkg. I see a bunch of good features available in Advance pkg but is it worth the upgrade? Question to Advance pkg owners, would you buy it again or do you recommend to skip it?

The Advance package's ventilated front seats, front and rear parking sensors, automatic rain sensing wipers, auto-dimming side view mirrors, remote engine start and foglights was worth the extra cost to me.
I like options.
If I were to go RDX again,I'd definitely buy an Advance.

the advance package also includes the $1300 Acurawatch plus package, so if you go with the tech pkg only, you are giving up all the goodies in 2 packages. I got the advance pkg, it is worth the extra cost to me. do I use or like all the extra features? no, I still haven't tried ACC yet, but it is better to have, and not need, than to need, and not have.
Also, to add Acura LED foglights plus the 2 plastic attachments will cost about $600 to DIY, a middle of the line remote starter is $200-300, and it won't be cheap or might not even be possible to add the ventilated seats.

If you can afford it, it's worth it. If money is tight, you can live without that stuff. I do believe that the Acurawatch package is worth it. If it prevents one accident, it more than pays for itself. And if it prevents an injury, well... you can't put a price on that.

It's good to have options. But regarding lane tracking and other nannies, I had to shut it down after a few minutes in every single vehicle I've tried it so far. I just couldn't tolerate the extra noise and rumbling annoyances every few minutes. The same story is with ACC. The distance it keeps is never comfortable for me. Either it gets too close and brakes abruptly or it keeps too much distance leaving all other cars to jump in front of me and then it goes further behind to keep the distance . It's never smooth or relaxing. I'm okay with having the warning chime and emergency braking in case of impending collision.
I must admit though that I haven't tried the RDX advance yet.

I have the Advance and would buy it again. I use all of the systems some of the time and really like several, e.g. ACC, rain sensing wipers, cooling seats, etc.

When the ACC slows the car if you don't want it to it can be easily overridden by acceleration.

I guess the packages are different in Canada. Our up package is the Elite, and it includes the rain sensing wipers, remote engine start, but not the other items. I am not sue its worth the difference for the other items.

Not quite. In Canada the rain sensing wipers, remote engine start and much of the safety stuff is already in the Tech package so for $1600 more for the Elite, you get the wheels, the auto-dimming side mirrors, fog lights, parking sensors and ventilated front seats. I'm pretty sure I would get the Elite if/when I buy.

Picked up the car yesterday. Wow, the advance package is really loaded with so many bells and whistles, it will be a while for me to figure it out. I am coming from a Base RX350 with barely any add-ons. All this for $39.6K OTD is a great deal.
