Noise from engine/transmission when cold

Hi everyone,

I just joined 'the club' with a new rdx. Is it normal to have some noise once shifted from P to D when cold. I've noticed that this morning (was not there yesterday), did not drive, just shifted back to P right away, waited for 30 seconds and then when shifted again to D the noise was gone. It is hard to describe it, it sounds just like engine noise would get more loud.

Thanks!

I'm thinking now it might be the cold engine response on the load (switching to D) increasing RPM. Will try tomorrow again and get more idea.

Back down a driveway in reverse then shift to drive if you want to hear something really disconcerting. It took me a while to get used to the loud click/clunk it does every time I back out of my driveway.
