No struts for rdx

I need to replace on on a 2014 rdx for clunking at 30,000 miles. So I will do both but can't find one anywhere. Told on national back order. and new ones won't go so fast. E=bay has them but why buy a strut that will fail, will wait.

Rear shocks you have OEM and KYB to pick from. For the front struts , it's only the OEM. I'm switching over to the KYB as soon as it warms up a bit more.

It is really doubtful that the front struts would need replacing at that age & mileage. I would check other items first. In some Hondas there was a service bulletin on the top strut mount,
not sure if that involved this vehicle.

Rear shocks are noted for going bad and making clunking sounds. Happened to me once, covered under warrentie.

It sounded like a sway bar bushing and there was some play on both so I changed them. Did nothing but cost me 100.00. Engine mounts were fine and every component that would rattle in the effected area was checked. Only thing left was the strut. The rattle only happens when driving slow over small bumps and can't be reproduced on a lift. All possible suspects have been ruled out.

Well the new batch of struts finally made it. The new ones are completely different so I have to change both.

The new ones were different than the ones on the car. Different animal for sure. Honda wanted 1450 for the pair. Cost me 1050 from local guy I use.

Ill honestly trade the car in if i have to spend 1k on suspension parts for an acura. My sports Koni suspension for the front of my porsche didnt cost that much.

Cars been paid off a few years ago. Only 33,000 miles thousand on it. Compared to the screwing on the trade and huge depreciation on a new one it is way cheaper to do the strut change for us.
