New 2018 RDX Tech just purchased. Infotainment system is horrendous!
It is my third day of exploring of the newly-purchased 2nd generation RDX Tech. So far the tech package and other electronics are gaining 1 out of 10 score from me.
We owned an MDX Base for years and it was no problem in using phone with Waze for navi, Pandora etc. Now with those two bad-quality color screens I will have to use my phone for navigation again. Controls for hands-free, voice commands are terrible. Same with radio, audio etc. I had to download 360 pages of RDX navigation manual from acuraowners.com just to learn basic uses of infotainment system((( Seems like the only gain from purchasing of expensive tech package is the leather upholstery...
What kind of experiences have you had guys?

All of those new systems can be overwhelming if you try to tackle them all on the same day. Just take one at a time. Sit in the car (with your manuals), learn the buttons, learn the menus. It won't be too long before muscle memory will take over and you'll be working everything (well, almost everything) with hardly a thought. It does get better.
Cheers!

Well..thank you Gadgetjq for you kind words of support.
Anyways the info system is about 12 years behind the market. I was using Tom-Tom navi in 2005 with an 3D interface. It was much better then a flat old map in this 2017 Acura.
They should partially refund me for this obsolete piece, don't you think?))

You have to remember the RDX was released in 2013. The tech in it was developed prior to 2013. Sure they had a '16 refresh and could have done more, but.... I am not understanding your issues with Pandora. There is a button to select it right from your infotainment input screen and it works great through Bluetooth. I just had it on last night in my '16. I would suspect Waze audio will transmit through BT as well. How was the MDX different?
