My 2017 RDX Tech AWD has sucked so far....5700 miles.
Well.....at 1350 miles, my brakes squealed, they serviced them.
At 4300 miles they squealed again....I took it in at 5300 miles,,the scuffed the pads and resurfaced the rotors.
At 5500 miles i go over a bump and it sound like someone left a couple of wrenches in the engine compartment....the drivers side shock is bad!
Not Acura's fault...I had my two front windows tinted and the dealer swore by this guy and he did a horse shit job! now they have to redo them.
needless to say, the first 3.5 months of ownership has sucked....

Also, really annoying rattling noise coming from my dashboard on driver side. Can't pinpoint what it is yet...

I have a 2017 with just over 4,000 miles in 7 weeks. Had it in at 1,100 miles for brakes squealing. They resurfaced my rotors and that night, no noise. Next day, squealing again and have continued squealing since. Haven't brought it back yet but need to. Are yours still squealing?

That sucks when you have issues on a new vehicle.
No brake noise issues on my '16 but a lot of cabin noise with ride quality.
Tire thumping noise over bumps, loud hard suspension (especially the rear) over bumps and some wind noise.
Passenger friends and relatives notice the hard and noisy ride quality too.
I even lowered tire air pressure to 32.
Unless Honda fixes that issue, no more RDX' s for me.
Other than the suspension issues, it's a very nice vehicle.

Thanfully no brake squealing on mine. As for your rattling noise, I have that too. It's a known issue they have a TSB out for it. The leather wrap in the steering wheel rattles a bit, their solution is to trim it under the center cover. Think I'll have mine fixed at the next maintenance appointment.

That is one of the most annoying noises ever. What I don't get is why are they still making the steering wheels without trimming the leather per the TSB. Why don't they make a running production change?

Well....
The two front windows were retinted and this time it was legal and it looks really good!
the front drivers side strut was bad! That was the horrible noise I was hearing over bigger bumps! I can't believe that a front strut would,go bad at 5500 miles....but I guess anything is possible.
Time will tell if the brake squeal comes back or not....
The next coarse of action is to replace the front pads and rotors, so we will see. I hope I'm done with have issues!

2016 RDX 3500 miles: loud thump from rear cargo area when go over bumps in the road; excessive wind noise in cabin when driving on the highway; "hard" ride - feel bumps in road; no brake squeak, however.

Our "adventure" continues. After having to take it back twice to get the steering wheel creak addressed(had to actually drive around with a CSR to get them to hear the issue) today we were told they fixed the problem for good. My girlfriend picked it up and the creak was still there after 1 mile of driving. Seriously? They can't even get this right. Back to the dealer she went and back into the RDX loaner she had. At least it isn't creaking. I will be contacting the dealership GM again tomorrow.

Finally a good ending to the story for now. I had to get the GM involved, but the steering hub squeak is gone. They also swapped the front brakes while it was there. The sad thing is it took three visits and me escalating to get it done.

sorry to hear of the issues OP - seems like Acura went backwards hearing more issues with the 17's than the 16's - we got our '16 Advance as soon as the dealer got them in stock. No issues after a year and 9K miles. Only quirk is the front parking sensors occasionally go off when at a red light but I typically find they don't misbehave for quite some time after a bath, so must be sensitive to grime build-up between washes

Forgot to mention that the small gas tank capacity (12.5 gallons?), which means more frequent trips to the fuel pump, is maybe the most annoying part of the car. By comparison, my Mercedes E350 holds about 19 gallons.

The gas tank is about 16 gallons, not 12 and a half. Still not huge but not tiny. Current E's have a 21 gallon tank.

Refilled car this morning: low fuel warning light came on, range was listed at 32 miles, and gauge was at the 1/16 mark (i.e., last mark before empty).
Car took 13.2 gallons to fill.

When the low fuel light comes on, you typically have another 2.5 to 3 gallons in the tank. I assume they do this in an attempt to help people from running out of gas.

What good is a "warning" if it occured after the fact? Sort of like a fire alarm going off after a fire has consumed your house. So naturally it comes on BEFORE you are out, not after haha.

I read somewhere that the low fuel warning is designed into the cars....especially those for the American market. No doubt to avoid stranded drivers.
It can be annoying, but probably good to force me to refuel. My TL shows 0 miles but when I compare fill amount and capacity they are 3 gallons apart.

Obviously a warning must occur before and not after the event if it's to be useful. The question is: how much before? My point was that the warning comes on much earlier than many people might have guessed (me included). I might have expected that it would come on with only 1 gallon left in the tank, for example. So I was surprised to find out that it came on with more like 3 gallons left in the tank.

The issue with the RDX seems to be not knowing how much gas remains a day or so after the light comes on as the gauge and the range estimate apparently aren't true.
My Mercedes does it best: there's a "reserve fuel" message and a light that begin somewhere slightly less than a quarter of a tank. When I see those I think about getting to a station within the next few days, if I am around town, and getting to a station asap, if I am highway driving. If I neglect to heed those warnings, then there's a second message (I cannot remember the wording) that comes up when I have probably < 10 miles range remaining. When I see that, I quit messing around and immediately go to the nearest station.
