What model year is your RDX?.
If none of these things are happening, especially the LED's not lighting, then
- Do the doors unlock when you reach behind the door handles (i.e. FOB still in your pocket).
- Does the FOB unlock your doors (including the hatch) from a distance when you use the unlock-lock-hatch buttons on the FOB?.
- Do any LED's light up on the FOB when you press a button?.
If none of these things are happening, especially the LED's not lighting, then
- your new battery is probably dead
- your battery is installed backwards
- your FOB is defective

Also try putting in your old battery. It should still work with the warning message that battery is low. Why don't you buy a new battery (from a different shop) and give it a try? It's only a few dollars. All batteries have a limited shelf life whether used or not. It's very unusual for a keyfob to simply malfunction (though not impossible). Let us know what happens.

I did the same thing and the new battery was dead. Tried a different one and all good. Some of those made in China batteries are pretty unreliable
