Delivery date

Sorry if this has already been covered -----

Is there any information available as to the amount of time that typically elapses between build date and delivery to the dealer?
On 8/11 I had my name "put on" a new RDX/Advance with an anticipated production date of 9/29 - 10/2. On 9/2 I was informed that my car "has been built" and should be in "sometime this month." Now, "sometime this month" could be as much as four weeks away from 9/2. Bogus information from a dealer has never been a difficult thing to come by so I am skeptical. Any better guesses out there?

Dealer told me 4 weeks but it took 6 weeks to arrive. I had the option to cancel the order, but didn't because this is the best deal in the compact luxury SUV class.

Enough propaganda. We don't need to be reminded about things that we know.

Delivery dates: Depends on the weather and your location it can take an upwards of 3 -4 weeks for delivery. Realistically there is't much you can do to speed it up as delivery is beyond the dealership's control.

Once your car is build, there should be a VIN number associated to your order. Just ask the dealership for the VIN number and see if they can provide you with that information.

My RDX arrived at the dealer approximately 1.5 to 2 weeks after the scheduled production date.

What's the hurry? Let them take all the time they need to prep the car completely. The last thing you need is to be off to a bad start with your dealer. Cool your jets. It will get here. It will amaze you just as much a week from now as it would today.

8/29: Your car is being built.
9/14: Your car is here.
