Considering trip to RDX dealer

I got an online quote for 2014 RDX Technology Package (FWD) for $36,495 (includes destination charges). That seems to be a reasonably decent starting price off of the $39,115 list price on acura.com for not having done anything other than shuffle a few emails. Would you guys agree?

It's the surprise costs once I'm there that always frustrate me. What other charges do I need to anticipate that they haven't told me about?

From doing a bunch of reading on this forum, I think I need to anticipate:

  • random dealer fees
  • documentation fees
  • accessories I didn't ask for that are already on the vehicle
  • a sales pitch for acuracare extended warranty (which I think I'll decline and consider later)
  • a sales pitch for prepaid acuracare maintenance service (which I'm likely to also decline since I've been changing my own oils and fluids for decades on my other cars)

Are there any other add on charges I haven't thought about yet?

FWI, I purchased my 14 RDX Tech AWD in October for $37,000. I think you can do better on the price since it's only $500 less than what I paid for an AWD and a few months earlier.
