Anyone regret getting Parchment Interior?

Just curious if anyone out there who has the parchment interior regrets getting it because of dirt, scuff marks, etc. I'm still on the fence as to what interior color. I've had both, my tan did get dirty, show marks, etc on the seats and doors -- but the black shows every piece of lint.

No regret here. However, we are the classic empty nesters that acura was aiming for and I have a pickup so we don't have to deal with abuse from kids and home improvement stuff. In addition, it is a perfect match to the dog's hair (wheaton scottie).

Going from a 2006 TSX with the ebony interior to a 2008 TL with the Parchment interior, I made the decision to order my soon-to-be-delivered RDX in a color that comes with the Ebony interior. I found the interior of the TL to be too hard to keep clean - carpets always got dirty easily and I found that over time, the seats became stained by the blue dye from denim! I am done with light colored interiors. I am going to keep any car fairly clean, but to me, black is easier. I don't buy the whole "black interiors get hotter" - I live in Atlanta and every interior gets very hot in the summer. Thats why I use the remote window open and crank the A/C!

Agree 100%. Would have liked to have purchased the RDX in Pearl White, but since it only comes with the parchment interior in the U.S. , I opted for Black so I could get the ebony interior.

Thanks!! That's kind of what I've experience . . . my RAV4 was wrecked and it was 5yrs old with a parchment color and I had hard time keeping the carpets clean, the inside doors clean, and my leather seats were also stained from blue jeans. I currently have a Honda with black interior which has been easier to keep clean, other than white dog hair. They both look nice -

My last 2 cars have been black-on-black. FYI - blue jean "tint" shows up on black, too. But even though I like the white exterior, if I get an RDX, it may end up being another black-on-black simply because some Acura bozos decided people in the US don't like black interiors with white cars. Now, watch it be there for the next model year.

Living in South Florida with the heat and humidity, I'm glad I have the Parchment. Yes, it may stain easier, but I get my car detailed at least once a year, so its no biggie. I also think the Parchment gives my RDX a more upscale and luxurious feel to the sometimes drab feeling of everything being black. I love the contrast of the black dash with the parchment interior. You made a great choice, in my opinion.

I'm glad I went with the parchment. Of course, I have a yellow dog and no kids. Dark jeans do have a tendency to discolor the seat, but giving it a wipe with leather cleaner and conditioner takes care of it.

I have a Pearl White/Parchment on the way. The carpets are not parchment color. They are dark. I currently also own a '12 Accord Cpe, white/parchment and the carpets are dark. Light carpets would be a problem, but, if you use dark Weather Tech type mats then they are pretty well protected.

If you use leather cleaner/conditioner regularly, then I can say....no problem. I am an empty nester too. Ebony/black interiors are like sitting in an unlit basement. But, each to their own. Keep the parchment leather cleaned and conditioned and you should have no issues.
And, to me, what helps is how Honda/Acura uses color in the parchment interior. They have black accents and dash area, and some silver. It looks great to me!

I have parchment with Amber Brownstone exterior and really like the combination. I was concerned with the durability of the perforated leather so I bought sheepskin inserts that cover that part of the front seats. My previous car also had parchment leather and at 11 years old the front seats looked pretty worn.

I agree....leather in general gets worn out pretty quickly. I lease my cars, and I can see after 3 years how worn it gets. I could only imagine how it would look after 11 years, lol. That's the only good thing about the leatherette that German rivals have; it lasts forever pretty much intact. Even still, I prefer REAL leather.

*lol* I know...I am sorry...Had too much cafeine when I posted yesterday.

PS...I know its frustrating to have so many limitations on interior colors.

Ebony and Ivory...

FYI all the manufacturing paperwork on the car refers to the parchment interior as "Ivory".

So it's light.

I buy the Griot's Garage interior cleaner by the gallon already.

Not really or not so bad. I always thought so too, but have two cars in the family with black leather interior and no complains about extra heat in the summer.

I have Amber Brownstone with Parchment and love the different contrast between the black dash the light leather and the darker toned carpet I got the complete wood package as well so the interior has many tones. The leather on my RDX is different than the parchment leather I had in 2004 TL and the light grey leather I had in 2009 TXS it seems thicker and more textured with I think is a good thing. So far it is all holding up great and everyone loves the look.

I agree about the texture....Its not as "silky" as our former TSX, its actually more like BMW's "Dakota Leather" which seemingly makes it more durable because it has more of a rough feel (in a GOOD way, lol) I come to find the silkier and soft to the touch it is, the faster it wears. Good point.

The seats are definitely "rougher" or of a coarser grain than my 2004 TL. It reminds me more of my '97 Maxima. I can't tell if that's good or bad, though. I love the feel of my 3G TL's seats far more, but I know those seats wear down over the years, too.

I have an '09 RBP TSX with the parchment interior, and my wife just bought a '13 RBPII RDX with parchment. IMO, the parchment interior makes the interior look more spacious. I had a black interior TSX once as a loaner, and it just felt more cramped. I clean/condition the leather about 3 times a year, and it is still very clean - no staining at all.

Just kidding....I know, the jeans will stain the parchment interior, especially if they get wet from the rain...

Wet jeans should never have to be a problem....and seriously...just how often does that happen?? Anyway....I always carry these soft, throw type blankets...not large....and IF I happened to get my jeans wet I would put that blanket down first and let it stain. Simple fix.

Parchment looks great in any vehicle...and they don't have to be a "problem." Dark/black leather will stain too...just can't see it as well, but, it's still stained with BLUE colored jeans and it will show at some point.

My AWD, Tech, Pearl White/Parchment RDX will be in my hot hands this coming Sat.

I do - very often, but I don't wet my jeans

And living in Oregon, we have our fair share of rain. 'course, now you've made me want to go check the leather more closely for shades of blue.

I second that! black is the only colour I'd get for interior. I've never driven a vehicle that is not black interior.

I am so glad we have white on black available in Canada. Otherwise, I might turn away to other cars just because of the colours.
