I like the nice contrast it gives to the parchment interior

That looks awesome! I don't get why people don't like the 2gen RDX interior, it looks great... Steering wheel looks a lot like my 2008 TL, only different buttons and slightly thicker...
I love wood and I wish it were easier to get oem... Added an OEM dash kit to my 2001 Camry back in 2012, but, it was real, and showed sun damage in under a year... That's why I'd rather not have the real wood again...
Looks so nice!

I agree, it's much prettier and looks luxurious now. Even my wife who was sort getting bored by this nearly 5 year old car (her daily driver), commented, why didn't you do this earlier....

That was exactly my intention too. Ha ha. She kept complaining about several aspects of the car, saying her dad used to change cars every five years and so on. BTW I also changed my rear view camera during this visit since it was crappy in bad weather. I wanted to keep this car forever, but I guess that won’t be feasible in the coming few years. Anyway I’ll do one nav update for $99 in the coming months and consider its midlife upgrade complete. She’s happy now and that’s all what matters.

Usually, if I decide to sell a car, I do so within the first few months, after a year or two, I know I'm keeping it...

Just wondering. Is there something you guys do to rub some shine into the wood. Even though it feels just right, I would like little bit more shine. Thanks.

Haha!!! I wax everything... Wood, Chrome, Glass... Anything shiney on the interior...
Just clean it well first, then rub some carnuba on it... I know you guys have the stuff you like, but any wax will do...
Done this to a bunch of cars...
Keeps finger prints off and prevents dust from sticking, not to mention the protection it provides... Takes about 15 minutes to do, repeat process every couple of months !!!
