2016 RDX availability

I am looking for used RDX 2016 w/ blind spot and forward collision avoidance. Right now having a hard time finding availability in MN at my budget. Wondering when I can expect price to come down from previous year buyers. When do availability of older years increase?

usually, cars become cheaper when they come off their leases.
for a 2016 vehicle, there still might be a year or two left on the lease

Agree with justn. Either that or when a new body style or major change to the vehicle. Either way you are likely looking at another year or two. Why not look at 2015s???

Thanks for the info both! I am leaning towards for the 2015 w/tech myself but the wife is looking for the safety features with Blind Spot and Forward Collision avoidance. She is leaning towards the Outback with those features which is cheaper than the RDX, but it is such a bore of a car to drive!

it always behooves one to wait as long as possible!! with leases coming to an end, and with the sub-prime auto loans....we could "possibly" see a huge crater in used car prices. but you cant time the market, so if you need a vehicle now...

also with the Porsche Boss cracking down on car flipping, I'm hopping to snag a used 911 sometime in the future.

We are in no hurry...looking for something before the end of summer (which i realize is not the best months to buy). Just wondering if I can expect more availability by end of July/August.

yes. better deals are ALWAYS to be had if you wait long enough. just depends on your car situation and if one is needed...

for example; when I was in the market for a car in 2010...I bought a 2006 TL which I THOUGHT was a great, fair deal. if i waited a few more months to a year, I could have snagged a better deal on a better car...(TL Type-S with 6MT)

so, IT ALWAYS behooves one to wait and stack cash. until a deal comes up that specifically speaks to you

As you get closer the end of the summer, you get closer to the new model year. So depending on the lease terms, you may find 2015s and/or 2016s coming off lease.

Not sure of your price range. Have you checked into prices of a 15 MDX Adv compared to a 16 RDX with Acura watch? I just looked on Auto Trader and 15 MDX Adv (with Ent standard) with 20K-40K miles range are around $32,000-$40,000. The 15 MDX Adv in fwd or sh-awd with have the same mpgs, same 6AT, 3500-5000 lbs of towing, sh-awd is way better than the RDX awd system, more room in the MDX, a little better looking interior, and full Acura watch+entertainment system standard. I think a used 15 MDX Adv with Ent standard is the sweet spot of the 3rd Gen MDX line-up.
