2013 rdx

I saw the new RDX @ the Toronto Auto Show today, albiet I could not sit in it as it was on a display but they had the doors open. 1st impression is that it is much more luxuriuos than the 12 and older, and looks a lot like my TL interior, which I really like, and agreat leather steering wheel. I am pretty sure when my TL is finished in 2 years I will get the RDX. One thing of note, I did not see a privacy cover to the rear area like the 12 and older RDXs have. Hopefully they are not going to tag me with this extra cost like they did with my Previous gen MDX.

The ILX is a very nice car.

It looks like they will use the flimsy vinyl looking cover for the back of the 2013 RDX. I prefer the hard shelf we currently have. It is a perfect spot to put my dry cleaning and it stores perfectly on the hatch floor when you need the extra space. I don't like having the stuff in the trunk exposed.

Maybe the rear seats recline like the MDX and that is why they are using the flimsy cover? Our Acura dealership in NM is expecting a 2013 model sometime in April. I will check it out in person and pick up a brochure.

I think that if you aren't attached to the current look, that it really looks pretty good too. If you look at the pictures on line of the cargo area, you can see a slide-in area near the back, similar to what is on my wifes Infiniti. I agree that it will probably be a pull out cover. They probably didn't want the clutter of the cover in the show car.

Could you tell if they used LED's for the brake lights?

Save your time, it's not that exciting. Besides, you can order a brochure online.

I'm usually there for routine service for one car or the other every 3 months. It is sometimes fun to see how much the +55 year old sales reps know about their vechicles; which, isn't much.
