I liked the TL better when I was looking because it was a 4-door, had a subwoofer with the Bose Audio System that made it sound much better and I liked the styling a bit better, but the engine won me over in the CL-S. I still think I'd keep my CL-S, but any thoughts?

Hell no. I'm 25 years old and I'm going to drive a coupe. Forget about this 4-door family hauler business... (No offense to TL owners intended, it's a great car)

I would.... but the loss of $$$$ doesn't appeal to me. The new TL-S has a few things I wish the CL-S had. I wanted 4 doors when I first started looking. At the time the CL-S was just too good to pass up. Sure enough 6 months after I bought the CL-S they announce the TL-S. Oh well......

Nope .. would lose out on way too much money.. but if I were to get a four door.. (I agree with Technique about four doors right now) in the future I would like the GS430 or the 540 and either supercharge the sucker or chip them repsectively.

I wouldn't, but I would be willing to get rid of my '98 CL for the TL-S. We'll see what the supply and cost is around June / July. If it's still crazy, I'll definately be in a CL-S. If it's not, well, I have a decision to make

actually i would, but not right the way, my CLS is only two month old, probably 2, 3 years down the road.
only if the Impreza WRX had more luxury features and mroe mature look, I would've traded my CLS in for it.

Hey Tann, where's the speaker? We've all done the HA.net thing. It's dead so I'm not sure we care. We take the high road here!

No, but our other car is a 2001 TL anyway, so not a lot of point to it for me.

No way!
I was actually considering ordering a TL-S and just had to test drive a CL-S while at the dealer. I fell in love with the CL-S, and realized that:
- four doors are way too many doors
- compared side by side, the CL-S looked a lot better than the TL (and I think the new TL front end is not making things better for the 2002 TL, looks to much like a RL to me)
- our back seats are actually usable for visits/friends. No kids yet, but even then, there's plenty of room for a kid back there. And it's actually pretty easy to get in/out of the back seats, I was surprised (compared to the Prelude at least ;-) )

Thats one thing I would like to point out. We have great back seats. They are full blown seats, unlike the ones in the Accord or any other coupe for that matter. That was an additional thing that sold me.

no way! yeah the TLs is a great looking car, but like someone else said, i'm waaaaay too yound to be driving a four door! yeah, my accord is a 4-door, but that's my winter car/school car. theres no way in hell i'd leave my CLs parked in a lot for days at a time, so i had to buy another car. i can see my mother getting a TLs, but she'd more than likely go for the TL-p

Well its not all about age!
Four doors are great for Golf trips for four people.
Plus, for you single guys, Its easier to get more girls in the car with four doors!

Its harder to be a pimp in a sedan j/k . One om MY requirements when I got a car was it had to be a coupe. So no TL-S for me. As for fitting more women in a TL true but it is harder to get them in a Sedan than a Coupe.

Wait a min... if you have women crawling into the back and they have a nice short skirt on... you might get a nice view as you're "helping" them into the back.

When my lease on my '98 runs out I'll be getting a 2002 TL Type-S in Aegean Blue Pearl. Was going to get a CL, but I figure that I'll be having kids before I'd be getting another car, so it seems like a wise choice, plus the sunroof will open more. I think the CL is a little sexier look, but the TL is more practical. It's an Acura, and I know I'll be happy, plus I like the look of the TL a lot.

How about this?
I have the CL-S. My wife currently drives a 4cyl, 4-door Accord. She really likes the CL-S, but now she wants the TL-S when we decide to trade that car in because it has 4 doors. I knew there was a reason I picked her.
What's wrong with a Type-S family?
