Will probably buy an a4 today...
Well after a year of driving a 6spd cls (with comptech sways, prokit drop) I'm still not very happy with it. INstead of dropping more money into it, I'm headed to the dealer tonight to drop a deposit on an 04 1.8 quattro a4 with the ultra sport performance package, premium package, and xenons.
I test drove teh a4, the g35 sedan mt and even though teh g35 sedan was faster, it didn't seem coherent. And for me, an overall balance is important. The interior, exterior, build quality, and experience with audi dealers were the deciding factors (I owned an S4 before).
That and the huge 1.8t aftermarket crowd and a chip availability to mod it to make it at least competitive with a CLS mt (maybe not faster, but competitive).

Good luck..I assume you had a good reliability experience with your S if you are gettin another Audi. I can't imagine a chip alone will satisfy you, although the handling in that car is quite nice due to the balance and chasis. I would suggest putting a few $$ away for a turbo upgrade. I like my APR kit.

Not to mention that audi’s suck and break a lot and more in maintenance(my friend had 98 A4 1.8T.i got him to get an accord v6) …I wouldn’t do it.

Hahaha
Good questions type s kid.
It got totalled in an accident.
I had it chipped, dropped, tinted and nice.
The insurance made me go for a cls, but something just doesn't feel right for me. For others, it feels good, and the CLS has treated me well. But I am an Audi fan at heart! Yes, the reliability is a worse than an Acura (owned an 00 Civic Si before the s4), but most of the issues are tolerable (mostly electric). I just like the feel, teh comfort, and the looks of the a4 (especially after painting the lowers, new rims, drops, new grills.... uh-oh it's happening again!)
I'm still sticking around though, as I enjoy the site and especially gavril's automotive news.... the CNN for auto news for me!
Unfortunately, I can only part out the exhaust if someone has a stock to swap in and near the bay area cali!

Well, some bad news. My wife got into an accident. She's okay, but her car is not. Thus, no new A4 for me at this time.
Thanks for all the info and thoughts on the A4!
