The cl is the only moder that will fit? Everywhere I look online only carries tl hoods. Is there a link to find a new primed hood for cl or do I need to buy something used

The 03 TL and CL hoods do not share the same part number.

If you want a new CL base hood, then order it from Acura, $447.88.

https://www.acuraoemparts.com/auto-p...-cat/hood-scat

If you want to 'roll the dice' and get one from the a salvage yard, go to car-part.com and search the extended area you would be comfortable with. For instance, in all of the states bordering South Dakota (if you still live there) Minnesota is the only state that has any (3) available at the bone yards.

I simply google searched images of Acura CL's and Acura TL's...by sight alone, one can see they are two different shapes, thus will not fit.

Either buy new from Acura or used off car-parts.com

Is it that hard to look at a TL and not realize how much different it is.

Figured that's what a forum is for. I was directed to exceler8 for other parts and the last two things I've ordeed they say yup the TL will fit and then 2 weeks worth of shipping time I get a part that doesn't fit, i thought I would check first. Sorry for using the internet, it will never happen again

So, which way did you go?

Did you opt for the new hood or a salvage yard one, just curious?

Currently, neither. Long story short the oem hood has light hail damage. Could pop out and work it myself but saw pretty affordable tl hoods just primed. Should have clarified that I'd be OK with slight fab work to fit, if affordable. In other threads I've clarified I'm used to working on older American vehicles. Bought this on a steal and wim, and honestly super impressed. Acurazine threads have literally helped me fix all the issues the original owner was selling it for, in a matter of two weeks. So far only changed headers, intake, and suspension, fixed other problems. Loving it, when was just looking for a daily. My opinion I'd just do a salvage yard, but I'm in south dakota, hard to come by, and hood is already fine, was just looking around in the forum for advice.

If you had included that info in the OP, we probably could have given you a more intelligent answer
