That is nice, the CL deserves some attention and praise. The 6 speed CL is definitely the most underappreciated Acura ever.
Barely anyone without a CL thinks it is a good car. Even ppl who have owned a 6 Speed have bashed the car and said the chassis is crap. No idea where they get that from since they have no autocross or track experience.
Every event I go to atleast 1 or more people ask me why I would waste my time and money modding a CL.
They just don't get it.

To this day I still get compliments on my car. And I don't even have any aesthetic mods on it. Just keep it washed and waxed.

I have never had another CL owner wave at me or ever acknowledge my car besides one CL owner who stopped to see my car autocross last year.
Now my Focus ST is exact opposite. Almost every other ST owner I pass waves at me. I have even had conversations with ST owners at stoplights. The ppl who buy ST seem like such nice ppl who are very enthusiastic.
When I see a CL it is always an older female or male who you can tell are not gearheads.

So true man.. I'll wave to other CL's on the road and people stare right through like they dont even realize we are driving the same car.. let alone what kind of car they have!

And as far as the chassis being crap, I've taken my bone stock CLS6 autocrossing a few times and the thing limiting me was 100% my driving ability (or lack thereof), not the car.

Cool find. I still have my copy of gt3. Still have the save file on my ps3 with CL fully modded. The cl did suck in that game though. You would think if it made cover they would make it better. Would love to know why they picked that cover.

I have to say you nailed it. I have only seen one other CL being driven by someone my age.
But on another note. I think the fact it's so underrated and widely unknown makes it that much more for us CL lovers.
Because I love driving around in a car no one else is driving and no one really knows a damn thing about.

I agree, the CLS6 is easily one of the most underrated cars Acura has ever produced.
FWD is always an issue on a launch, but with a proper suspension setup and the help of the LSD, it handled well. My favorite part about the car was it's 3rd & 4th gear and watching the tach go over 7000 was always exciting, too.
I miss mine - when my financial situation can justify 2 cars, no doubt a CLS6 will serve as my next daily if the right opportunity comes along.

Ah memories...
Aside from the transmissions problems I had, it was fun owning it. And as it was my first car, it'll always have a special place in my heart.

I see a bone stock orange CL-S on my commute most days. 65+ year old white guy. Has OEM chrome wheels.

Burning Brakes
Yes, in the game, the CL had a lot of nose dive when I slammed on the brakes. So I switched to the S2000 and wasted another hour.
I, too, never knew it was the Acura CL on the cover.

I don't even have a 6MT and I still love this car. On top of the occasional compliment I get on my car, people are usually surprised to hear the car is only an 03. tbh I'm really in no position to be beating my daily driver up (even if it was a manual) so I treat mine like I'm planning on keeping it for another few years (which I do )

Ag! You guys made me fire up my old PS2 and do a few laps with an Acura CL. Before I knew it, an hour had passed.

had my car 9 years I do not drive it much anymore due to winter. I am going to be fixing the bumpers and rust spot in the spring.

I wish vehicle modification was more extensive a la Forza. I enjoy driving the CL in GT6 every so often, but a limited modification window that's further compounded by a failure to update its aftermarket support since GT3 steeply limits its potential. Not saying it'd slay the 30 or so models of ITRs, but it'd be better able to hold its own against other midsize-large sedans/coupes if it could field wider tires.

YA4 CL-S only.

I've been inching out to my current 3G TL-aping setup for a while now, so I know about our car's wheel/tire size ceiling. Not a problem for me; I'm happy at 235.

^Man, as much as I'd love to get a 6 speed, I don't think I could picture going to such a distance to get one. Don't get me wrong I just... I guess I'm lazy.
But you wanna know what's bullshit? About 2 months after I got my 5AT CL, the same dealer got a 6 speed in stock. Fewer miles, too! The only problem was that it had a non-factory paint job done. Some goofy looking periwinkle kind of color.
