A Vote for a new car gauge for the CLS

I was hoping that my CL Type-S would have come with a Miles per gallon meter that is now common on some cars. It is nice to see how to shift etc. and see what the current gas mileage is. I bought the car for other reasons, but it would be a cool extra. Yes or no -- what do you folks think?

I agree. I lost this feature when I traded in my Intrepid for the CL-S. In addition, it had a compass. (Of course those with the navigation don't care about the compass! )

I was hoping for a voltmeter as well. You would think a sports car would have a few more informational type gauges.

But then again, if I wanted alot of gauges I would have bought the i330.

People that own the IS300 want an oil pressure guage, which is probably more useful than the voltimeter guage. It just goes to show that you can never have too many guages. MD-11, anyone?

It would be okay if it had one, but I don't really miss it. The Dakota 5.9 R/T I borrowed the other day had all that stuff. It was kinda depressing when you floored it and it showed 2mpg as the current mpg

I am used to minimal info because the gauge cluster is nearly identical to the one my 91 Legend Coupe had.

I can live without the MPG gauge, but it would have been nice to integrate this into the NAV display somehow.

Nah, you don't want a MPG gauge. All we would do is worry about the crappy mileage anyway. This way you can wait 200-300 miles without knowing.

I don't care much about the MPG gauge but I would like to have a voltmeter and oil gauge.

Speaking of Legends. 2 days after I got my drivers license, I was test driving a friend of a friends 86 legend. I was going to drive it for a week to see if I liked it. On the way home from picking it up, a lady pulled out in front of me in traffic, and hit me head on. Needless to say, I didn't buy the car.
