Trade In Low Mileage CL-P for Higher Mileage CLS-6?

So I have a CL-P which is quite satisfying. It has headers, CAI, custom exhaust, blah blah blah and only 40,000 miles as of now. Bought it with only 25k on it. Now I saw an opportunity to jump on a CLS-6 speed manual. It has about 87k miles on it and I have no clue in what condition its in. Let's say it turns out be in mint or even fair condition. Would you guys recommend jumping on it? I see a few pros and cons already, but there are some true CL gurus here so I want some valuable opinions!

True. I forgot to mention it's also a rare 6speed manual/Navi combo.

Find out what condition the CLS6 is in (carfax, test drive, etc), then I'd say make your decision based upon facts.

And not to mention, you could swap most of your mods onto the 6speed.

If the 6 speed is in pretty good condition and good carfax then I would get it. these auto trannies sucks and 87k is nothing for these engines and the manual tranny.
if you have the stock parts, just take your mods off and bring them to the CL-S.
looks like the exhaust, grill, wheels and header should transfer over fine. the tint you can have redone and not sure about your CAI, but if all you did was remove the intake resonator and drop in a K&N filter, then you can easily reproduce that on the CL-S too.

navi is useless, go aftermarket, i don't really see the hype in the rarity, as long as you like the combination. i personally did not want stock navi since it is so outdated. plus the only thing good about stock navigation is the location, but i fixed that when i mounted an avic-d3 in the navi spot and custom fabricated the climate controls where the stock radio is...

i say if you don't feel comfortable with this one, by all means find another one. i know i would if i were in your position.

Hmmm... you might want to jump on it... Since you have low miles, you won't hit the 109K mile cutoff for transmission replacements, but the 7 year cutoff will be coming up soon. That's if your CL is covered by the 109k/7 year which ever comes first warranty. Only the early 03's were covered.

If you looking to avoid the possibility of auto transmission headheads, then go for it, but I'd be hesitant to get a car with twice the mileage you have.

Exactly. Although I already checked and my car is not covered by that class-action. So I can either jump on this, look for another 6 speed or keep mine and possibly get screwed by the transmission popping. I kind of doubt I'll find a CL with such little miles or in such good condition as mine though. It has detailed maintenance records, babied by Acura of Glendale, and driven by an elderly gentleman. I feel pretty secure with its history. But that 6 speed is faster...
