TCS and Check engine light came on
Hello Guy and lady's. My car was driving fine all day yesterday when all the sudden I went to start is again the car just kept cranking light if it didn't want to start. It kept sputtering like if gas wasn't getting to it and I gave it a little more gas my exhaust sounded like popcorn poping and sputtering my TCS light and check engine light came on. I"m glad I was close to the dealer and just pulled right in. What can it be any clues. I've kept the car in perfect condition with all the required maintenace and 91+ octane gas. My baby got me so nervous what could it be? Spark plugs..injecteors? any ideas would be great. It ran really rough to the dealership (doctors) its an 2001-CL I still have extended warranty and I'm afraid that the dealership is going to charge me an arm and a leg to fix. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks folks!!

I remember when a rodent chewed through the knock sensor wire on my car, the TCS and check engine light came on. RPMs dropped, and drove like crap until it was fixed. A new sensor cost me $15 and labor was $30. I was lazy...didn't want to get dirty that day. lol
Messed up thing is, when it gets super cold, rodents like to hide out in engine compartments and they love to chew on engine wires this time of year. I find one in my engine compartment once a year...GROSS!
Off topic, but a rodent climbed into the air ducts once and got sliced up from the fan, my car stunk for over 2 months...it was awful.

off topic here as well my uncle owns an older generation M3 and then ran over a skunk which somehow the skunks body flew into one of his wheel wells which somehow got stuck and then the car stunk for half a year.

It was the PCM Dealership will replace under warranty. Chevy Chase Acura has the best service around thanks Rich! They recommended the brake fluid and stearing fluid flushed so they are doing that as-well. I'm not taking no chances.
