so should I call myself lucky?
So I just got my 01 Cl-s and has 86000km or 51.6K miles and she's running like a beauty.
Everyone seems to have nightmares with these trannys and this one has no signs of any flaws?
Am I lucky or is this thing just pampered?

You have not dodged the bullet. People have had their transmission crap out on them with higher mileage then yours. Check your vin and see if any recall has been done, most likely you will fall under the 7 years, 109k extended warranty on the cls.
Hate to break it to you, but just keep that in the back of your mind. Other then then that , welcome to the forums, there is plenty of info here about your car and be prepared to spend money.

Well guys, thanks for the honesty.
This ones been at the dealership it's whole life and been baby driven in the city from work and back it's whole life.
I had a manual ford probe before which I ripped everywhere and it showed when it came to $$$.
My mom bought the o1 cl in blue back when it came out and we loved the CAR.
Had it for 60K miles and not a single problem... nothing. I remember her getting the extended warranty papers in the mail and we just thought it was a weird. The CL has been good to us so I HAD to get it again, but the S-type this time.
I guess ripping these trannys is really where they take their beating. So I shall retain the urge to do so lol.
usually.
Should I call acura and see if the tranny's been replaced? or would it really even matter at this stage?

I couldn't wait, I just called them... They said it's had zero tranny work done, Just a bunch of tranny flushes along it's path.
They also said the warranty is done by time (7 years and x months) I forgot how many months, from the date it was purchased.
I assume the warranty is time/milage related like (every other warranty) and whichever one is passed first rids the validation of the warranty?
Meh, figures.
Is there anything I should do to prevent this possible collapse of my trans (from overheating I believe it is)?
Or is it like the cancer cells in our bodies that all of a sudden decide to take over our cell reproduction and slowly cause fatality?
It is how it is
