Angry Scratches and Markings

Hi all,
I've just taken off my plastic wind guard thing on the sunroof. I think it's been there for 3 years now (from the previous owner). I've tried to clean it really well, and put some Turtle Wax scratch removal, and those marking are still pretty visible (not the end of the world, but it's annoying...since i know where to look for).

So, the question is, is there a GOOD product out there to solve... or reduce this annoyance?....

Any advice would be appreciated

How deep is the scratch? You may want to try to polish it out.

Take a look here: http://www.autopia-carcare.com/son-sfxscr-kit.html

Hope that helps!

The only way to get it out is wetsand & buffing. Anything you get from a store will lesson it to some degree but still be visable. The other option is to put the deflector back on. If it was messed up get a new one they are cheap.

The rub marks are in the clearcoat. To some degree it can be cut a bit (wet sanded) and polished. The wet sanding will remove some of the damaged clear and hopefully when buffed out will shine again. Any detailer could do this.

Thanks all,
I still have the deflector. It came with it when i bought the car. But i think it looks ugly, that's why i took it off. I'll try to those things...hope to at least lessen the scratch marks

Thanks again

all that scratch remover is, is rubbing compound. and it will most likely not work well enough.
