Dustin is out of town till monday, his kit will be on by then, he couldn't make it today. The painted kit is done tho. I am collecting deposits from the CA customers who placed deposits so thoise can be shipped out fist, then the east coasters will get them once they arrive at the warehouse over here. so everything is being shipped out now. Sorry for the wait, but these delays are almost expected as much as they suck.

tust me, I am not trying to build it up at all, its just these damn suppliers and delays. And you guys have seen it on my car, just not painted, so its not as big as an impact as I would think. Ether way, I hope my painter comes thru. he said he would have it done before the business day is over today. I am def gonna make it to the meet on Sun in Jersey, so some people can see it in real life then. I already started to collect payment from CA customers, and they will receive their kits by Tues/Wednsday of this coming week.

guys please, I'm going crazy with work and the shop didn't paint the rear diffuser black. I actually had to go there and help them install the kit. they didn't have a jack and couldn't access the screws because of the rear wheels. Anyway, tomorrow I'll shoot it. Only thing is I didn't use the 3M tape, I decided to go with a special adhesive that will hold up in the hottest sun, so it might have small tiny gaps, but that will be fixed when the clearcoat cures and we can press against it with the adhesive. See you guys on the East coast at the meet on Sunday!.

We had some major issues with the kit schedule, and I'm so fed up with my supplier, they had no excuse and are just not showing me the proper concern. If I sell one kit that is not in perfect condistion and defect free, then I will not sell any. I am making sure that this kit is perfect. we already noticed a few little details that were inconsitent, like the chemical mix of the urethane, the first prototype was not mixed properlly resulting in a flimsy material, but the other one that is being installed on Dustin's car is claimed to be more rigid. I am not signing off until I get a full production kit, painted and installed, so I can make sure everybody gets the same kit. IF it takes another week, I will refund everybody and they can call back to place an order when it is done instead of worrying about when it will be done. If it takes longer, i will just scrap the whole project and not produce the kit.

I too say don't scrap the project. I am willing to wait for a quality product. I mean some of us went into this almost blind minus a few concecpt pictures based upon your vision and at this point what is a few more weeks. I would rather wait it out and know that I am getting the best product that will last. It sucks but hey press on and work it out for us.

Ohhh man we have waited so long for this it would be a shame to just scarp the project. I am for one willing to wait a little loger for a quality kit. Maybe after the pre ordered kits are done, you can then switch supplier or something. Keep the hope alive.

Trust me, I am more depressed than anybody that this happened, but I can't fly out to CA every month to monitor them. I gave them the ultimatum to get the job done by the end of this week with a FINAL corrected production kit in my hands by friday. this is the last straw, so I am hoping they come thru. if not then thats it, I will scrap the whole thing. I am more concerned with their lack of QC on the prototype. Why would I recieve a less than perfect kit to sign off on? I would assume that the kit I receive to represent the production kits would be the best quality. SO I am kinda hopi9ng they are right in telling me what I had to sign off on was incomplete and all the issues i mentioned were addressed already. I'm not jumping the gun yet, but I will still consider fionishign it, only if it is perfect.

I've been speaking with Rondy, we're trying to get it sorted out. He doesn't want a less-than-perfect kit.

It would be rigid, but still bendable. We want it to hold shape to not get distorted under hot weather. Def wouldn't crack, but won't sag either and will be paintable without spiderwebbing.
The issues have already been resolved easilly in some areas, like the 3M tape being thicker to maintain contact in difficult areas and making the kit come out of the mold with characterter lines alot more crisp and straight.
The FINAL actual production output will be done and painted on Monday, shipped out and arriving overnight on Tuesday for a test fitment by myself in my garage. That will be the true test and final approveal. I refuse to let anything less than perfect reach the customers, so just bare with me while I get it to that point. Unfortuneatly, getting the supplier to think the same way I do takes a little more time, but I know they are capable of it, with myself as the catalist.
Dustin, don't go there till I give you the thumbs up, I'm gonna test it all for myself and wehn everything is 100% fine, then you will just go and get it slapped on. thanks again.
