Recyclers that sell used CL seats?

The vented seats that came with the Type S Cl's are not durable and the original seats cracked and imploded long ago. I replaced them with the more durable "premium" seats out from a local recycler but the drivers side needs replacement.

Can anyone recommend a recycler that has an extensive inventory of these seats? I went on line and can't find any tan seats...

It's going to be 'slim pickings' at salvage yards within a reasonable radius of your zip code. With a quick search, I found parchment ones on the link below from an '03 White auto CL-S in Clearwater, FL that, as far as the pictures show, look pretty decent. Not sure if seat(s) from an '03 will 'plug n play' with your '01, though.

If the link does not work, the salvage yard name is Magic Used Auto Parts; Clearwater, FL 1-727-573-7751. The car stock # identifier appears to be 16D10. You'd have to call for a price,

Also, search car-part.com for each individual year '01;02;03 for the zip code radius you are comfortable with to get an overall idea of whats available online. Craig's list may also have a selection,

Passenger seat is plug and play, but the driver seat is not. You'll have to pull the harness from the 01 seat and transfer it to the 03 seat.

Is there a difference between the auto and manual seats? I know the autos have 2 heat settings while the manual only has 1. Is this strictly in the button or are there differences in the seat heaters themselves? I'd assume it's just the button but who knows.

The heating pad configuration on the front right & left seats between the Auto and 6-speed are the same and share the same part #'s.

The console 'switches'; however, are different between the Auto and 6-speed. This is probably where you get your additional 'heat setting' in the Auto, as mentioned above.

The Auto has two switches, one left and right (38535-SZ3-A01; 38635-SZ3-A01).

Whereas, the 6-speed has one electronic assembly (38535-S3M-A01ZA) with two switches and one temp setting, IIRC'ly. I don't get to use mine very often down here in FL.

Ha. I'm in Minnesota, so we use them a bit more often in these parts.
