I've wondered the same thing myself... Mine has been ticking since (at least) last summer... I've still getting around the same gas mileage as I always have (I've recorded every fill up since day one in a notebook I keep in the car).

well i replaced mine with a new one, and the new one is ticking (approx. 2 weeks).. soooooo... i dunno haha

Then return it for another one. I replaced mine last weekend. It took 2 tries to get one that didn't tick.

well if its just ticking, nothing much is affected by it or the ticking and there are no improvements if you replace it, then ill just leave it alone.

heck maybe its supposed to tick

Ok - so I am trying to find the Purge Control Solenoid - I see it for $105 at oemacuraparts but I can't see to get to acura24x7. Where is it for the $40 price range?

And what is the Icebox mod?

found mine was ticking today... went over to the dealer and they told me it's normal and not to worry unless i got a CEL.

so that makes me feel better.... i guess

So has anyone discovered bad gas mileage when the ticking started and then replaced it to find better MPG?

I just started to hear this ticking and noticed a drop of about 3 less MPG and wanted to source the problem. I just installed the IM and TB Spacers, but the ticking also started right after the install so idk

Mine has been ticking since I bought it, I tried replacing it at one point and the new one starting ticking the second I turned on my car so I just called it a loss

mine is ticking like really really loud.. idk if should change it. i get about 12.5 mpg..
