Problems: LIPPSTUH'S JERKING

Alright, so far I have replaced spark plugs and primary o2 sensor. Still have CEL and still have the symptoms

I had a feeling that the o2 sensor wouldn't cause this problem, but at the time it was the only code that came up.

Symptoms: From time to time (sometimes its frequent sometimes not) when I accelerate (esp slower acceleration) i will get a cut off gas (or so it feels like). I would keep a steady foot then it doesn't keep accelerating. So i keep pressing the gas pedal down. then suddenly it will jerk a bit because it'll start accelerating all of a sudden. so there's a lag. sometimes when this happens, i will let go of gas and gas it again and it doesn't create that lag.

and no its not a clutch related problem.

i THINK its ignition coils because a few people had this problem and said that's what fixed it, when I replaced spark plugs i didn't notice anything wrong. but whatever. what do you guys think?

My H23vtec does the same thing, but it's misfiring. I have a faulty distributor and a bad headgasket

I was going to post about about this sooner or later - but i also, as of late, have been noticing sort of the same thing --- only mines sort of a very slight, but very noticable hesitation...

Same symptoms, have only noticed it going slower speeds/lower RPMs - definately not clutch and definately not driver induced...

My throttle only cuts off for a split second then resumes as normal, doesnt stay "cut off" for longer than that.

Have noticed it 3 times in the last month and a half or so.

mine has been doing the same...I did notice on mine that it occuring in the morning. I'll cruise at about 30mph and then there is a slight jerk, like a fuel cut off, and then resume...

That is actually normal. All 3 of my CL's have done it from time to time. Only at low rpm & only for a split 2nd. No hard reason for it. Some think it's a low voltage or sudden power drop problem to run something on the car.

all of them here do but that doesnt help you does it.

I have noticed the jerk too. I get it sometimes after starting the car and driving between 30-40mph at a constant throttle input. It is a drop in power for about .3 seconds and then everything is normal for the rest of the drive. It usually happens only within the first 5 miles of driving. I really noticed it after I put the blower on but it is not on now and it has done it without it. Jim

If you have a AAMCO near by, they will read your CEL for free. I just saw a commercial on it. They also have AC check for free too. might as well since your down there anyways.

O2 Oxygen Sensor Circuit High Voltage (Bank1, Sensor1)
I just changed it 2 weeks ago with a new one. bank 1 = the one on the cat correct? its acting exactly the same right after I changed it. There is no way that both can be bad. I only have 48k on the car.

Bank 1 is the first oxygen sensor. Maybe you got a DOA O2 sensor? What brand was the O2 sensor?

check for header cracks. Ive seen it happening to a few ppl due to a crack in the welds. When off the gas the leaks sucks in air and mess with the o2 reading. Just a precaution tho.

sorry to bring back an old thread, but did you ever figure out what the problem was?? I've been having the same symptoms for a couple weeks now, and finally the car threw a P0132 code... I have searched a couple threads with similar problems but as far as I know no one had any luck with a solution.

This is what I got driving from NC to Boston last week and I am really happy with the mileage I got. This was also sitting on the interstate for an hour dead stop and driving around in Boston.
