Plati Dip Rims, Grille, Door Handles, Window Trim, Emblem and Exhaust Tips
I used plasti dip this weekend on my rims, grille, window trim handles, rear emblem and exhaust tips. I had the chrome rims which I loved but I have had the car for 11 years and was in the mood for a change.

I will try again to post the grille and handle, for some reason they are upside down even that I did not save them that way, not sure why I cannot correct that, I tried several different times.

Have a can of the stuff (it's made locally) and plan to do my window trim. Think black trim on a black car will look better.
I don't plan on doing other stuff like the grill though I might try it out to see how it looks for a short bit.

from my research it should hold up. Worst case is just peel it off, but so far its been a few days and it is fine. I dont think the tips will get hot enough, according to my research it can take tempertures up to 200 degrees

It only holds up to 200°F so that exhaust will melt it off. Could even catch fire possibly. I certainly wouldn't risk it.

I dont think the exhaust tips get that hot at all, people have done it with no problems. I dont think it will be a problem, if it crack or melts I will take it off.

since they are a sleeve over tip usually...the contact with the actual exit of the muffler is limited to just a few points...don't think it gets that hot. You can normally even touch your tips (together, if you like).
Looks okay, was cheap...you're happy and no long bored...so I guess you're winning!

I might do the roof now too. Orignally I just wanted to do the rims, but then the chrome everywhere else started to look out of place so I did everything else to match and to me it looks better with the black wheels.

The exhaust does get really hot at the tip if your driving hard... On my TL i melted through my OEM rear lip and put a big hole in the bumper when an exhaust hangar broke and made the tip touch the bumper. Also in my experience if the Dip gets hot a bunch of times it hardens and is a real b**** to get off... i would take it off the tips. I love the trim in black though.
