Oil in coolant....any advice appreciated

Okay, I have 6000 km on my car...

I got a LOW OIL light come on, so I went and got Mobil 1 from Canadian tire..

Now the person that I trusted, PUT 3/4 OF THE BOTTLE OF OIL IN THE COOLANT INSTEAD OF THE OIL!!!!@#@!#@!#$!@#$%@!#$%

There is now 5W30 Mobil 1 oil in my COOLANT TANK.

The car was at IDLE while this was being done, but when he had trouble CLOSING the cap, I went to help, and I SAW HE HAD PUT IT IN THE COOLANT!!

Now, what do I do?

I have not driven the car ANYWHERE, it has stayed parked since the oil went in the coolant. Now, what do I do?? I would appreciate all help.

Can I flush this out myself tonight?
what can I do?
do i have the car towed to my Audi dealer?
the car is in an underground parking lot, is it ok if I drive for 30 seconds to get the car out so it can be towed??

thankyou,

what i really need to know the most is, can i drive the car for 20 minutes to get to the dealer?...i figure since oil would stay on the top it would be ok...

btw, before anyone says it, NO, it was not me that put the oil in the coolant, but i am finding this kinda humerous that this shit only happens to me..

BTW, some pics of my audio install
http://public.fotki.com/yashar/cl-s/page3.html
its not done yet, gonna get aluminum bars going across the subwoofer for a grille, with some neon lights.

just take off your coolant tank!!

it lifts right out!!

unscrew the top, stick a finger down in the whole to get a good grip, then lift!

viola!

clean the bottle and put it back. then fill it with more coolant/water too :P

*EDIT*
i noticed you have an audi :o

it proably lifts out or comes out very easy. just go look at the container and see HOW it comes out! then take it out and wash it

One advise no need to have such friends... Okay do not let them work on your ride

Just drain it on the spot and go buy some 50/50 coolant from the Audi dealer and refill....

Not to be an ass.. I had a trouble identifying what bolt is for engine oil on my toyota Sienna (I do not want to drain the ATF fluid by mistake)...

The fuckers at Toyota never bothered stamping the 3 letters word "Oil" near the oil drain plug!

In the plastic reservior tank, or in the radiator?

I'm guessing removing the reservior tank is not big deal (don't know how difficult it is on an A4). If ALL of the oil stayed in it: Remove it, properly dispose of the mix, wash it with some soap, rinse, replace, and add coolant.

If you actually ran oil through the coolant system, I'd call the dealer. Driving may only make things worse.

DON’T START THE CAR !!!!!
If you do and it starts to get warm it will immediately be drawn into the radiator

Pull the overflow tank off if possible and clean the sucker out.

If the car was running you may already have oil in the radiator & engine block.
Let the car cool down and then pull it outside when the tow truck gets there.
If it’s close just drive there tomorrow.
Have them clean and flush out the coolant system.

On second thought, just call the service department early tomorrow morning and ask them.

you had your car on at idle while you were adding oil??

wow. you are an idiot.

also... your car is brand new... i dont think audi's come with mobil1 from the factory...

did you flush your oil and replace with mobil1 already??

or were you attempting to add mobil1 to your dino lube???

You need to bring your car to the dealer.

Then you need to sell it to someone who takes care of it.

i answered most your questions in aim...

basically, its perfectly normal to be adding oil, according to my dealer AND according to audiworld

http://forums.audiworld.com/a4gen2/msgs/62835.phtml

and the ramp for my parking lot is kinda messed..so i dont want to even risk getting it towed

i did not drive the car last night, in the morning drove it COLD to Canadian Tire, which is less than 2 minutes drive..

they flushed out the coolant, cleaned it, no problem.

i called my dealer, said they see this happen all the time, no biggie.

its fixed, friend owes me 80 dollars, and thats it.

i realize some of u guys are car nuts and stories like this make u go crazy, and make people like adam tell me i should give my car to someone that would take care of it.....

frankly, to me, whether it be ferrari/bentley/audi/honda i dont really care that much, its just a car...and i dont like wasting too much time on it....i have my other hobbies, and i do my thing...

i dont like freezing my ass off for my car, cause i dont need to...

i do my thing and make good money so someone else can get their hands dirty...

hope this doesnt piss anyone off, i just have different priorities

Well, if that was my friend that did that to my car, they'd find him floating face down in a canel the next morning.
