New Owner Survey may point at future feature additions

I just got a new owner survey and I thought the section asking about what items you would want on your next car was interesting. They listed features and asked if it is a "Want to Have" or a "Must Have". Here are the ones I thought were interesting:

Power adjustable foot pedals
Memory system-Front passenger
MP3 download capability
Smart cruise control
Internet access (downloaded via Navigation System)
E-mail access
V-8 engine option
Wireless cell phone-Built in hands-free telephone (using your existing cell phone and service plan) <Sounds like bluetooth to me>

The Internet access via the Navigation system must be what the PC Card slot is for. Our '03 MDX has this slot, but no use for it yet.

I actually like the idea of using your own cell phone with your car's built in hardware. As it is I have to wear a stupid headset so I can shift and talk on the phone at the same time. I did see a similiar option demo'd on an upcoming BMW. The bluetooth phone automatically used the cars speakers and a built in microphone whenever your phone was just inside the car.

Can you do write ins? If so, a telescoping wheel would be nice. Remember the Chicago style voting? "Vote early, vote often."

That would be nice but that's why I said not ready yet. Most of the nicer phones on the market don't have bluetooth. So you just bought your new 05 CL and it only works with Motorola from AT&T and not your Ericsson T68.

In todays Mercedes and BMWs, etc. they don't have a choice of phone...you get the Motorola MB phone or the Motorola BMW phone.....

They do have bluetooth kits of various configs today...you can just go out and buy and install one. I don't see the dealership doing this standard...maybe in the RLs.

they should def. introduce a V8 engine to the CL, the rest of that stuff is nice but not needed. They also need to improve on the stock Bose system, which is one weakness. And a DVD player should come standard with the navigation system.
