Hey, another "old" guy. (like me). ABP is my favorite color. Could not find a low enough miles one in blue when I bought mine in 2012. So I settled for red with black interior.
These cars are a blast to drive and very dependable too. Welcome

I am in your neck of the woods. I have 117,000 miles and original owner. I have red with black interior. It has been very reliable. How many miles?

If your asking me, mine is just short of 99K now. It had 84,500 when I bought it. Not sure the mileage of the OPs' car.

Red with black interior. I think there were only 125 produced w/o navi. Between us we have three of them!

181k miles. The suspension needs a little help, but there seems to be good support for the car in aftermarket products.

I have a friend who is a Certified Acura tech. He did the work in his garage for a very reasonable price. The valves were adjusted and new plugs installed (and the EGR ports were a mess so he cleaned them, too).

I just replaced all 4 shocks last week with Sensen replacements ($95 total) until I figure out the right suspension setup for my needs. The cabin air filter looked like it was original, so that's new along with new hood lift struts. The next fun project will be refinishing the headlight lenses.

I bought the XLR8 62A motor mounts. Yes, I'd recommend them. But one thing is that, some side mounts are defected, unfortunately I ended up with one of them, so I had to bend the mount about half an inch to make it fit properly. My buddy ordered same set and his fit perfectly. You'll get a little cabin vibration from 62A but I'm sure it won't be as bad as the stiffer 75A and 85A. But if you don't want any vibration, don't install the rear mount. I installed the front and side first, and was already impressed with the out come. Then when I installed the rear mount, I started feeling the vibration in the cabin. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with the mounts.

This afternoon I found out that my CL has a "universal oil drain plug" due to the threads being stripped out of the oil pan.

So I visited the local auto parts store and purchased a spark plug repair kit and a 14x1.25 drain plug, along with oil and a filter. The spark plug kit includes a tap that creates new, larger threads, and steel inserts that fit these threads on the outside and a 14x1.25 thread on the inside.

An hour later I have a permanent repair and a real drain bolt.

Unfortunately I noticed that the power steering rack is leaking.

So true about older cars.

After a successful trip to the local Pull-a-Part (A CL arrived last week) I replaced the cheap HID low beam kit with OE Acura ballasts and D2R bulbs. $25 total for both ballasts and $15 for new bulbs. I'll keep the other parts as spares.

The front bumper comes off easily in 10 minutes, and I ordered 15 new plastic clips from Amazon and used 5 of them to reattach it. While I had access I removed the OE "air whatever" (probably feeds to the OE airbox which I don't have).

Which one.... mine or the one at Pull a Part? I'd enjoy hearing about the past life of my car if you owned it.

Dude that's killer to score those OEM ones so cheap. That's awesome!

It's been about a decade since I put an OEM headlight on my car. I just get a whole kit from HIDXtra & have 3 spare parts.

I got lucky and caught the car within one day after it arrived. Every other CL/TL had the ballasts removed.

Last month it was time for a brake upgrade. Centric rotors and Hawk HP+ pads all around, along with SS lines in front and ATE fluid. The brake dust on the wheels is worth the stopping power, and I'll be taking her to the track for some faster driving occasionally.

Yesterday I installed a Manzo header ($150 off eBay). Although it clearly states that it will not fit the 6-speed another thread mentioned that it did so I gave it a shot. I did end up unbolting the rear motor mount to install the header section but once it's in place there is adequate clearance. A close inspection of the header suggests that it won't flow as well as the OE system since the tubes and welds intrude into the cross-sectional area of the ports. It seems to run fine.

I put a thread up about the Manzo headers awhile ago. You're right about the welds. I took a grinding wheel and grinder the interior welds down. They are still holding up really well.

Manzo did some clean-up grinding but it was only minimal to knock down high spots. I thought about doing more but didn't want to take a chance of messing up a weld or pipe.

For the price it's a decent set-up and bolted together without too much trouble.

I keep scouring the Black Market and interwebz for a deal on coilovers. One day I'm just going to pop for the ISC set-up from Excelerate.

Good stuff, any recent pics? Also check your front subframe, on the passenger side where the rack bolts up. They tend to rust out bad there. Good luck!

Mine is 90% rusted out on the passenger side. Going to find a good used one hopefully soon.

I'll be sure to turn the new owner on to this forum. Something tells me that he's going to start modifying in short order.
