BMW already stated the new 5 series will carry over the styling elements of the 7 series......which is why they are concerned.
A V10 with 550hp is definitely obscene, the new Audi RS8 is rumored to have 600hp- this I have to see.
Style wise? This is going to be a tough act to follow

this is just getting insane, i mean, this goes back to a thread i made awhile ago, when will the horsepower wars end???? i can see it now:
"new for 2014, the BMW M5 comes with a 1300 hp engine with 780 ft lbs of torque, 0-60 in 2.7 seconds"
what the fuck is the point of all this power?? does the M5 driver run in nascar races?? or FI circuits?? no, of course not, so where are the manufacturers going with these insane power ratings?? i mean yeah, it sounds pretty on paper, but come on, where will anyone actually get to use that kind of power?? i jsut dont see these power increases as a positive thing...there is a point where enough is enough, and clearly this line is being crossed with alot of new cars.

7 gears (even in an SMG) is ridiculous.....
But it probably won't be too long until we see someone come out with a 7 speed manual gearbox.
With the rpm range of today's engines being higher and higher, there's no real need for so many gears in a manual trans.
Hell, we might as well all be driving big rigs with all those gears.....

EDIT: Another example is the Z3: introduced in 96 (i believe), and is the same in 02 (with only one minor face-lift). If anything Acura changes their cars too much. The CL was introduced in 97, slightly changed in 98, totally new in 00/01 and re-freshed in 02/03.

The 2004 E55 will have 476hp......the SL55 will have 500hp. Benz made a mistake and made the E55 faster than the SL55, so they went back and boosted the SL55s power (only 100 had been delivered or so in Germany, they were recalled from what I read).
