Need opinon on headlight mod CL's havent seen yet

Ok so tomorrow im putting on a CAI and i figure while my bumpers off I should clear my headlights. Sitting around at work today I had the idea of taking the reflector off and painting it black then putting an LED across it with them about an inch apart from each other. Heres a pic of what its essentially going to look like, any opinion appreciated.

as long as its a clean install, it would look nice. However i would make sure they are recessed into the housing, and personally i would use slightly larger and less LEDS (audi R8?). Thats just my 2cents

If you do that, black out the whole headlight. It would look right with just a black rectangle on one side.

OK, im planning on redoing my headlights as well. Here is my idea tho, since I dont want to go through all the baking and resealing of the headlights because im way too scared to, I thought of this. By using spray tint, seal of just the area of the reflector and spray it darker, then do the rest of the headlight with just a light coat. This is some PS's I did.

^I agree. It just wouldnt look right, all that clear with just a black rectangle doesnt look right. you would definitely have to black the whole thing out. I would clear the yellow, black the entire housing, and do the recessed bigger LEDs Like i said above.

I bought 8 inch LED's at the ny auto show and am gonna try to make daytime running lights like the Audi's have to see how it looks. I have a Extra headlight I got from a junkyard ( i needed the ballast and the guy would not seperate it) so I'm gonna play with it when I get some time. Some of the 3rd gen TL guys did it and it looks NICE!

Yeah, im thinking about doing the whole headlight black with the black led refracror, it should look pretty good. I was just looking at the idea of adding those to the side markers i didnt want it to look.....ghetto. Ill post up some pics when I do it but its not gonna be for a while b/c its too time consuming and tomorrow i wont have that time
