Exclamation Navigation Issues - I need help ;c

Hello,

I have a 2002 Acura CL-S with navigation.
Up until recently, the navigation has worked perfectly.
Today, the navigation screen went blank and nothing was showing. I wasn't able to access any of the AC/Map functions.
I removed the DVD and replaced it, and nothing appears.
I have found that if I remove the DVD, I get an error, but I am able to access the AC functions again and setup.
When I put the DVD back in I can't use anything.

If anyone could help, that would be awesome.

Thanks

Have you examined the navi disc itself, insuring that it's clean, and free of serious scratches. If so, it's probably the DVD unit itself. You have a couple of options, one, send it to Alpine, for diagnosis, and repair,(Expensive), two, replace the DVD unit, in the trunk. If you elect to replace the trunk unit, make certain that it comes with the ORIGINAL VIN, or the correct unlock code. A replacement DVD unit, without the accompanying VIN, or unlock code is somewhat useless, as Acura can't provide it. Depending on where your located, I have a spare DVD player, (just in case) for my 03 TLS, that you could use, just to make sure, that the DVD unit is the culprit.
