what sides are those? wings west?

I used the same shifter bushings. I found it much crisper after, but nothing crazy.

It's a pure styling poly urethane lip. I have the sides and rear. To me it's similar to the RonJon lip. Although his looks better. The following link is a guy who has the whole thing.

Finally got the wheel bearings, hubs and ball joints pressed in. The shop that pressed them pinched the lower ball joints and when I installed them all the grease poured out. It's so hard to find decent, honest work I swear. Since the car will go to paint tomorrow I'm just going to eat it and replace them when I get the car back and do the brakes.

Dropped it off for paint yesterday. The body shop said 3 weeks. Ordered new lower ball joints and rear brake pads.

Got my wheels mounted today. The wheels are bronze TSW Nurburgring 18x8.5. I didn't get a chance the weigh the wheels themselves. After the tires were mounted two weighed 38.4 pounds and two weighed 38.8 pounds.

Started rebuilding my calipers as well. The piston boots were all ripped so why not take a couples hours and rebuild them before I put them on the car.

Would make sense to get them painted / powder coated while the car is there... two birds, one stone.

Love the wheels by the way.

Thank you and that's the plan.....paint them while they are disassembled. I'm up in the air about the color though. I'm thinking black with the gold Acura lettering but I can't find a close enough match to the wheels.

Finished painting the brake calipers today. The gold ACURA lettering is really close to the color of the wheels so I'm happy about that. They came out decently. I probably should've taken more time with prep but they are good enough that I won't do them over.

Polished my new to me but used headlights yesterday. They came out pretty good and I'm excited to go back to the factory look. I'm guessing another week until it comes back from paint. Seems like an eternity though.

I masked off everything and painted the letters gold. Then after they dried I taped the letters and painted the calipers black.

I went and checked on the car today. Just about done. The shop owner stated he didn't like the way the passenger door come out because a few door dings were still present. So he is having it redone. Other than that it looks really good. I'm going out of town until Monday and I work Tuesday.....so I'll be picking it up Wednesday.

Got the car back from paint Wednesday and I'm pretty happy with the result. I didn't get the trunk painted because I will be purchasing a carbon fiber trunk. Can't wait to detail and wax it.

Also started installing the RL caliper up front. The rotors are scraping along the outside of the caliper and I'm not sure what to do about it. Grinding wheel i guess. It's not off by much but enough to be a PITA.

I hated how loud the exhaust was when I first got the car and decided to add a Vibrant resonator to quiet it down. When I got the car back it seemed a little louder with a weird "tinny" sound. So I decided to go back to the stock exhaust with the Comptech mufflers. Once I took the exhaust off I found the problem. It's so hard to find someone who will do good work.

Considering how rusted the piping is, the weld was bound to fail. You need to replace that rusted through piping.

I don't think the weld failed. I think they just missed it because they didn't take it off the car. Since I had it welded I've put 30 miles on it. Could've failed but I doubt so soon. It was worse the day I got it back but I had to take it to the painter the next day.

Did it have a resonator before and you added a second one? I want to put in a second resonator to quiet mine down.

Yeah there was already one resonator and I added the Vibrant resonator to quiet it even more. Obviously that didn't work. This one is 2.5"....if you want I can cut it out and send it to you. Only 30 miles or so on it.

I'm actually curious where you put the second one. I have a 3" custom exhaust with a resonator near where the OEM one was. I think I would put the second closer to the cat. Appreciate the offer though.

If I get a chance I'll take a picture for you but it was closer to the cat.

No luck yet.....with the holiday and softball activities this weekend I haven't had a chance to grind them down. I purchased the 350Z Brembo rotors and the fastbrakes adapter. Now when I go to the websites it states 12.6" rotors are what he recommends. The Brembo rotors are 12.8.........the rotor is hitting the far outside top and bottom and the near outside top and bottom of the caliper. If that makes sense. It's not much but I will have to grind those high spots down.

Finally got the front rotors and caliper aligned properly. I had to grind away about 1/16" of the knuckle and file it down flat. So no rubbing but my brake line connections are rusted together. I can't even crack the compression fitting at all.

Updates are slow because I picked up another job. So getting to work on the CL has been slow. I did get the lip on the sides and the rear and I'm still unsure about the front. If anyone has a lead in the Ron Jon front I'm open ears.

Replaced the IACV today. I can confirm that the popping sound from the intake is caused by this piece. The one installed in the car was aftermarket. The new one is OEM.
