Mirror & Steering Wheel Conversion

I want to swap my side-view mirrors on my '01 CL with either '02 or '03 CL mirrors. Are the '02 and '03 mirrors the same (smaller size compared to the '01 mirrors and fully painted to match the body paint unlike the '01 mirrors with a combination of black and the color of the body paint)? Also, would the swap just be a simple take-off old ones, put-on new ones situation with no modifications neccessary?

I also want to swap out my original steering wheel with another CL steering wheel since mine is severely worn. Would any Acura CL steering wheel work? Would it be another swap that is a simple take-off old one, put-on new one situation with no modifications necessary?

I was thinking the same thing with the steering wheel , I would REALLY love on with the bowling ball trim that they Type-s has but they are pricey.. If u get a stock one with air bag its pretty pricey also, You can swap the air bag from yours to the new one but i dont know if its plug-n-play!

Does anyone have a boling ball steering wheel they wanna trade me for the stock one and some cash?

i've seen type-s steering wheels go for about 50 bucks, w/o the airbags.

on the side mirrors, i'm planning on testing with accord or civic mirrors.
i'm just getting tired of how big and blinding they are.

i had to drop my car off some where and had a friend drive it while i was following in the back. those mirrors make it look like a fucking mickey mouse.

You can properly fit an Acura MDX steering wheel on a CL. I bought a woodgrain wheel off of an MDX for 99.00 shipped out of Mechanicsville VA. It is also a direct fit for our airbags also! Any help you need, just lemme know.

Steering wheels yes. They are a direct swap.Any 01-03 CL is interchangeable. Some MDX ones can be swapped in as well. Even RSX & TSX can be put on but you will have to use that model's airbag & splice wiring.
The mirrors are not. You would have to mold them to fit the door contour. Not sure how hard that is, but they are not a direct swap.
Same thing with other Honda mirrors.

Yea, they've moved to a new location about 2 months ago just to find out they need to move everything back to the old one. Things have been alittle hectic over there the past two weeks or so. They're straight up people, Rob, Chris, Greg, Christina, and Christie.

That's the airbag that has the logo on it...no matching cover.

The 01-02 version has an embossed "A"

Whereas...the 03 has a glossy emblem version of the "A"

The airbag is EXSPENSIVE the one with the BLACK/Chrome acura emblem is like $300 on EBAY not worth it in my opinion!

Thank you for the clarification. I wanted to get a black steering wheel and use my airbag, however my airbag cover is tan, that would look goofy.

Your interior is tan then, correct?
The tan interiors have that real wood look, correct?
I think they make a wheel that will match the tan interior, give them a call!

Yes tan interior. I would prefer a black steering wheel with a black airbag cover. I thought the cover didn't have anything to do with the airbag itself. I guess I was wrong.

And it sucks that you can't install an 03' airbag on an 01' easily. I really like the way the 03' airbag logo looks.
