I need a car for the winter. Seeing how my Supra's are not winter compatible with their setups, buying a truck just doesn't seem logical, and finally coming from owning a CLS6 that I have taken through a number of winters, it makes me want to get another one.

Alright, so my previous CL was what we all called a factory freak. At 80mph I pulled a constant 27 mpg and at 60mph, it was tipping 36mpg. I have checked it multiple times with multiple high mileage trips all over the country. However, with the mods that I had done to the car, I have a feeling this had a big impact on the above mileage. Comptech headers and axleback's, Injen intake, bored throttle body, ported and polished upper manifold, full exhaust and much much more.

I still have my Comptech headers laying around which would go on the car. I would of course buy another intake, lower the car to a nice level stance and basically bring the "new" one to what I had before and then some.

So here lies my question. In my time gone after jumping ship to the Supra, what has been done with these cars to improve performance?
I have read up on the 09TL SHAWD upper manifold and the MDX spacer thats about the only thing that I have found.

The main reason for starting this thread is to see what I missed out on.
I know about all the P2R stuff as they came around before I left.

i dont think you missed much but SH-AWD is mod that works for some ppl and for others doesnt i think port n polish is best way to go

Might know someone selling a SMR CLS6 with navi. Needs a little TLC but overall good condition. Almost considered buying it as a second one but the wife would kick my ass. has vis cf hood and trunk, tein springs, UR pulley, CT headers, greddy evo exhaust, AEM intake, and short shifter. Pretty much all of the bolt ons. PM if you're interested and I can try to get in touch with him. Nice job on the Supra btw.

i think the main one is the 3.5/3.7 builds. other than that, there is a GB for ATLP exhaust https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-cl-2001-2003-50/atlp-exhaust-revisiting-cl-again-826694/. looking for 10 ppl. they are currently at 7.

XLR8(innovative) motor mounts have been finalized. i believe they wer having problems when you left. they have since addressed all the issues. He also has a nice clutch kit for our cars.
