Lightweight flywheel??Pros/Cons

I recently purchased an Aasco lightweight flywheel and will be running it with a new factory clutch. Does anyone have one already installed on their car. If so what are the pros and cons. I own a 2003 acura cl type s.

I have one installed in my car. Dont really have any cons with it although my clutch is a bit finicky. I would say this is due to a combo of things like having no clutch dampers or soft lines and the light flywheel. Pros would be a little quiker revs and freeing up a few hp.

lightweight flywheel helps the most in downshifting since it can handle the flywheel so much easier it doesn't have as much inertia to deal with, which is why the clutch becomes much more sensitive. as much as it speeds ur car up it's technically slows it down tho since the motor's revs go back and forth so abruptly it disturbs flow. that's my experience at least and also is what i've been told by some other racers

Ive had my flywheel in for about 40k miles. I love it. The engine revs much quicker then the stock flywheel and doesn't hold revs while shifting.

i have one that came with the CM clutch kit. Seems to rev up quicker. great mod to do if you are going to replace the clutch anyway. Given the cost of the install, i would definitely wait until you need to replace the clutch with either oem or aftermarket (depending on your needs)

No cons on this side I would gladly recommend them great customer service. I might have been 1 of the first to get their flywheel back in 09 they had a little error but it was fixed + it only 12lbs compaired to 47lbs stock

I can get my hands on a brand new kit, and a used kit (both Clutchmasters Stage 3+) at a considerable discount from the $1200 or so MSRP.

StreetKA sorta has dibs on the brand new unit, unless he decides against it, but the used unit has 10k miles on it. If someones interested PM me.
