J35A8 (the new Odyssey) pistons, rods, crankshaft, and the accompanying parts... in the factory J32A2 block. Sounds simple enough, doesn't it?

I mean, after reading the recent posts on page 3, it is my understanding that the block itself is the same between the J32A2 and the J35A8. It is the pistons that make the difference in the displacement (stroked, same bore)??

How would the J35A8 pistons work with the TL-S valves? I'm very very close to getting this done.
Here are the reasons why. Here is a pic of the the o3-o4 mdx. notice the kidney shaped oil return hole. While I didn't try a head gasket on this to see if cls heads will bolt up, i'd say it's a moot point anyway because of the transmission mounting points.

Here is a pic of the 01-03 cls & 01-02 mdx basic block...they share the same part number. notice no kidney shaped oil return.

Here is the back of the 03-04 mdx and newer blocks. Look at the top left part of the picture where the transmission bolt connect to and see how close it is to the deck of the block.

Here is a pic of the back of the 01-03 cls, you can clearly see the difference.

very slow, everything is custom and my builder is very busy with 3 nsx's builds, one being a turbo, another a 4L stroker and a stock rebuild on the third as well as everyday general work that feeds his family.
*
Things are ready to be assembled, but he needs to get one of the nsx's out before mine takes front burner. One of the things were working on is a different flywheel so an exedy pressure plate can be adapted to it. It requires another 6speed tranny for the measurements which is being worked on now. that i expect will take some time. The plan is to use an exedy pressure plate that fits a .......?
*
The shorter crankshaft threw us under the bus for a day, but that has been resolved.
*
Between that and adding an addition to my home, is sometimes to much to handle, but I am dying to get this finished, just everything is custom and takes time and thought.

If the flywheel clutch combo we're trying to fit together works, and in combination with bullet proof axels, slicks should work fine at the strip, otherthan that, i'll be spinning in 4th gear. The stock pressure plate is the weak link for hard launches. same ol same ol.
*
If that guy spoony who's selling parts off his totaled out cls in the private sales doesn't sell all the body peices, i'd like to get that car and set it up for a drag car with tubs, cage, frame and wheel rear drive it with a power glide tranny adapted to the 3.5. Can't see any benifit for people to buy bumpers fenders etc because the shipping would eat up any savings these fools think they are getting unless they are close by. stock body peices are not that much.

NSX block (C-series)= 90 degree
CL/MDX block (J-series) = 60 degree

Completely different motors and they will not bolt up

The NSX motor is huge with the DOHC heads. Have you taken a look how WIDE that motor is?

lol, he was saying "in FORZA". It gives you an option to swap in an NSX engine into the CLS in the game. I guess they never really went into TOO much detail in the game.

Another successful 3.5L swap + it's intercooled and supercharged . Time to break-in new motor and eventually play with E-Manage Ultimate

BTW, before and after motor mounts

I'm driving like an old fart and running on stock ECU until receive new PnP from Scalbert. So, not driving under boost at all, but I tell you "hello low-end torque" and this is how the car supposed come out in the first place.
Imagine this, 2 people and 4th gear now is the same like I used to be by myself and in 3rd gear

End of this week temps supposed to come down, too damn hot and I start rolling more. Realistically, early September is my target for DYNO and it also depends on E-Manage Ultimate improving the results . Honestly, I'm just looking forward to better powerband and not just bragging rights. Will let you guys know asap

And any improvements in power delivery? Based on that dyno, your numbers were incredibly low. Any latest dyno/track results?

Sucks you went through all the trouble of hacking the fuel rail to get those 310cc RC's to fit when you could have gone with 360cc S2000 injectors which slide right in and use the factory injector clips.

I hate motor break-in process
And yes, s2k injectors fit right in with extra flow advantage.

Well, I was afraid that I will have idling or/and check engine light problem. My goal was only going to run a little of more than Scalbert intercooler HBP. He did it with stock injectors So I figure 10% increase should be more then sufficient. Too much fuel is not a good thing, humm.... but it is better than not enough. Oh, another reason is when people ask what kind of injectors? I got RC!

hey 02AV6, let us know if that rev limiter - adjustment on the ultimate works for the ecu. that would be sweet, and it if you raised it just a bit (500 rpms) the car would still shift at the right points and you would give it a bit more room so it didn't hit the rev limiter at the 2-3 shift.

Without cams, headwork, and/or more fuel I don't know that we want to rev up to nearly 7,800rpm

uhm.... o2AV6 has an accord which has redline at around 6200 rpm, and rev limiter at It hink 6500 rpm. Even after his dr evil transmisison he had problems with hitting the rev limiter, so I thought with a little more leeway (a couple hundred rpms) it wouldn't have a problem.

Yep, TypeR runs on Ultra SS (smaller than stock) while NA but for FI I'd rather stay with stock J32A2 crank pulley for reliability plus gains are minimal to justify the purchase.

We will be working on it later along with auto shift compensation feature, however the first goal is harness and ignition advance where engine position needs to be known.

ignition advance? Are you going to be using your SC along with the J35 block? If so, why advance? or are you jsut trying to prevent it from retarding the timing too much?

it certainly would, but how many NA J3x people have an e-manage, let alone an emanage ultimate... Well... I plan on getting one with a wideband O2. Think I should just save up and go with that instead of getting a VAFC first and THEN getting that?
