its official, my tranny is f**ked..but good news..
My service manager told me it will be in tomorrow, or max thursday. 
They ordered it today after i went with a test drive with theservice manager.
The service manager, told me to GET A FREAKING EXTENDED WARRANTY..which i will do..
SOO..for all you guys wating months for new tranny's...i dont know what to say, ..i have to wait 2 days..

interesting stuff..is the extended warranty, in addition to the factory warranty? for instance, i have 16k, so if i buy a 5yr/75,000m warranty, does that mean, its cover for an additional 75k miles or until i hit 75k miles?
how did u get a tranny so quick while others have to wait? just curious. what was ur prob w/ur tranny? cuz i am paranoid now...gimme some symptons...

my tranny was jerking...from 40-70km/h
I dont know why its only taking a day for me to get a tranny, it might take 2...
I dont plan on keeping this car affter the finance is over..its a 5 year finance, and with my high milage, i need the warranty.

Are you getting it done in North Toronto?? I think I might need a new tranny as well....it is lagging and slipping.. If it takes 2 days, I don't mind at all. Should I speak to Mr. Moore?
Either that, or if I can get a deal like Astro, I will get a pearl white TL-S.

Well I just got a message on my cell phone.
Tranny is on back-order...that stupid service manager was probably trying to look good in front of those people wearing suits waiting to talk to him in his office...the fucking beaver.
its gonna take around a week to two weeks..
they also have my headlight housing on order, also a new seatbelt retractor on order.

so get this tranny replace at 13-20K miles then another at 36-40K miles, the transmission is not suppose to be a fucking scheduled service! WTF! some things in life just really hit that button and this is one of them, i don't see how everyone hasn't sold their CL's yet. oh to answer that last question, the transmission failure is caused by DRIVING this shitpot!

i'm just gonna wait till we go into a bit more economical prssure, and i'l get a good deal on a trade to a TL-S..proably in febraury..

I still haven't reconciled the 1% failure rate (from Chod, et al) and the 6-month wait time as quoted by a member.
Now, if Acura was REALLY interested in making their company look stupid, I couldn't think of a better way. Hmmm... Let see, "I hate making a lot of money... How can I lose a ton of potential customers? I could just keep putting new transmissions in new cars that will sit on a dealer's lot and NOT put them in the cars of my-soon-to-rebel customer base..."
I keep hearing all of this stuff and I can really understand how someone can make a mistake with a new product. However, I can't understand how or why even a few people should be forced to wait for a new transmission (It is not as if the car was out of production)
The above is based on anecdotal information from the members here and my CLS has been fine (knock on wood)…
