Arrow How to get SRS diagnostic codes

Hey guys, my SRS light came on AGAIN today after getting it fixed at the dealer last summer and it was the belt buckle. Anyway, I remember a DIY on here which helped in jumping the obdII connector to pull the SRS codes, but i cant find it anymore. I found one thread here,

https://acurazine.com/forums/1g-cl-1997-1999-56/%2A%2A%2Anoob-guide-read-first-before-posting%2A%2A%2A-478508/

but it didn't specify which two holes of the obdII to jump in order to read the blinking srs light.

I don't wanna pay a 100 dollar diagnostic fee and find out it isn't the belt buckle.

Any help will be great. Thanks.

I think i found the answer to my own question...but on another forum. But I don't know if its the same or not since this test was performed on different acuras.

Ok so I had an issue with SRS the light being on and couldn't find exact info anywhere. After finding it all from multiple places, I thought i'd compile it into a single post to help others out.

1st :: Try to reset your light, it may take 3-4 tries or more if your timing is off.
KSMatic - DIY : Reset SRS Light

IF Your light blinks 2x and comes right back on, here's how to pull the codes.

Step 1: Make sure the key is not in the ignition and then get a paperclip and fold it into a U shape

Step 2: Plug it into ODBII Service Port 4 and Port 9

(above images courtesy of k-series.com)

Step 3: Insert key and turn ignition to Position II

Step 4: Watch the SRS and write down the codes. It will stay on for 6 seconds, then go off and the codes will then follow.

HOW TO READ CODES
SRS Codes consist of a main-code, and a sub-code.
EXAMPLE : 21-1 :: 21 is the main code, 1 is the subcode

Here are all the possible codes

Heres a video of codes i was getting so that you can get an idea on how to read them bettter. I had three codes in this video.
VIDEO

CODES
15-1 :: Faulty OPDS unit or OPDS unit not initialized
22-1 :: Open or increased resistance in passenger's seat belt buckle tensioner
12-1 :: Open or increased resistance in front passenger's side airbag inflator

well i did the procedure and got a 9-4 code which means it's the passenger seat belt buckle switch. Last summer it was the driver seat belt buckle. Anyhow, I reset it and I am going to wait and see if it comes back on. That part I believe is covered for 10 years or a 150K whichever comes first.

Thanks for all the help guys :p

Look like you answered your own question lol

But thats for posting this up, this will help a lot of people who's light keeps on coming up.
When my passenger buckle was faulty, everytime someone put the speatbelt in the buckle, that would set off the SRS light after I reset it, thats how I know it was the buckle. Also, Acura told me that the seatbelt system has a lifetime warranty against defects, buckles included.

I am having an intermittent SRS light. After reading this thread, I don't get the two flashes discussed here, which if I read correctly, means there are stored code(s). Mine illuminates or occurs when the passenger seat is occupied, but am not 100% sure on that, as I am in the process of elimination. So, if the light has gone on, al beit intermittent, will jumping the #4, #9 ports, give me a code. Also, the link to the codes doesn't want to open from here (this thread). Is there another link to it, so I can dial in the cause. Thanks.
