High Mileage Question (Purchase)

Sup Everyone!

Hope you are enjoying the CL-S life. I have been searching high and low for a CL-S. Recently I came across a 2003 CL-S 6MT for $3500...only issues is that has 210K on it. No accidents, clean carfax. Would you buy an 03 with high mileage? Let me know.

Good Question: So far all I know is that the timing belt & water pump have been changed twice. 2nd Tranny and full synthetic every 5K. That is about all I know.

Second tranny?

If the 105k service has been done twice, then it seems pretty good at that price. These engines can last a while. The suspension is probably in need of an overhaul though.

Yeah I agree with him sounds good. My 02 auto is at 181k and hasn't had any major engine issues. Just some minor regular maintenance. Do it!

for $3500
I think you'll be hard pressed to find anything more decent for that price.

Yeah it's the transmission you have to worry about!

But OP is looking at a 6MT. Not sure why it's the second tranny though unless he means second clutch. Just make sure the complete 105k service, including the cam seals, tensioners and valves, were done recently.

Do it, if there was deal like that near me I would jump on it. That way the TL can finally be my "Sunday Driver" lol.
