headers question

headers question

Guys i got installed headers yesturday and put about 60 miles on my car .So far I don't feel any difference..........How long should i wait for the computer to adjust ? Thanks in advance.

You should start to feel it right away. I hadn't driven more than a mile before I could feel mine.

At least this was my experience, others may disagree.

there is a strongest noise at full trottle . But i defenetely can't feel 30 additional horse power . maybe later ?

As you can see from Comptechs dyno here: http://www.comptechusa.com/images/dyno/2000CLSplot.pdf

You won't notice any power gains until 5000+ RPMs.. But you should be able to feel it pulling much stronger in the upper RPMs..

What brand of headers did you purchase ?

disconnect your battery (if you know your CD code) to reflash your ECU

once i put my alphawerks in i could feel the difference immediately

It takes a few days for the computer to adjust to the new headers. You can reset your ECU to speed up the process by pulling the negative terminal on the battery and leaving it off for about 20 mins.

Guys in addition of headers I did installed the ground kit . The radio/stereo sound is better but the iddle is unstable. The car is not smooth as before . Still learning .
