Question funky smell and exhaust leak?

My car has been feeling really sluggish recently. I raced a 99 pontiac bonnevielle ssei the other day and barely won. ( he said it looked like i was burning oil?) Now i have a funny smell, the motor sounds really loud and the exhaust is rapy when i rev it. I have 75k and change the oil religiously every 3k. Any ideas?

I would check the cat and take it to a exhuast shop and have them test for leaks

The catalytic converter should be warrantied to 80K miles, so maybe you can get it replaced in warranty.

True, but if it saves the money of buying a new cat, why not? Just mention it to them, that the catalytic converter seems to be going bad and shouldn't it be covered under (EPA mandate) warranty to 80k miles.
