The result of my stupid ass being in a hurry...

Do you guys think they will just be able to repaint this bumper or will I need to buy a new one

OUCH!... The scratches look pretty deep, but I think if a good body shop takes hand in that you should be able to fix that without replacing the bumper, but then again I am no expert. When I did that to my Escalade, they just repainted it and it looked good as new so yea GL

Repaint.

It looks to be into the bumper, so they will use some "patch" material to fix up the bumper.

Suggestion:

Get them to clear the entire bumper if you head off to the body shop. (They will paint or blend the base color of the bumper [whatever], and you need to make sure they put clearcoat on the entire bumper if you are looking for a really good job. Make sense?)

If you want to get a quick fix, there are people running around these days and they have UV curing paint (cures really fast and is good stuff) + primer, and the proper bumper repair/patch material to fix and prepare the bumper if you got a scratch deep enough in to it.

They have "Bumper Medic" type repair people running all over the place.

Call your local PDR (paintless dent removal joint) and ask for a reference.

If you want it perfect, hit a really good body shop etc...

before you go off to the shop get some compound. i got into a acident on mothers day wit some lady in a lexus. she just scratched my bumper and it came right out with compund. it looked very similar to your damage. her car on the other hand, 1400 bux in damage. it was her fault so im aite tho

I would definitely recommend trying some compound 1st. 3M fine or medium cut... or Meg's #2. I've had a ton of scratches on my bumper (some fairly deep), that polished right out entirely... and the rest are just hidden very well now. At the very least you'll reduce how bad it looks if you decide to bring it to a shop... perhaps lowering their estimate on any work that needs to be done prior to painting (if you go that route).

I would agree but only if it was my fault. If I had to pay for it out of my pocket ... I would do the above plus use a little touch-up paint on the really deep scraps.

Good idea. Looks like some of it might just be paint transfer/light scratching. If you know someone who has a buffer you could hit it with Meguiars #2-#9 then #3. This will get it as good as it can get with polishing. If you don't have a buffer you could use some #9 swirl remover or any good pre-wax cleaner to smooth it out. If it's just paint transfer from what you hit it should come off.

Actually none of thats paint transfer, I scraped it against a concrete wall. All the white parts are scratches unfortunately
Looks like I have to bite the bullet and have it painted at a body shop.

actually i have a guy who is call up service kinda guy, he does small touchups for the audi and benz dealerships, i had a scracth about the same size, done for 75 bucks. But then again i got lucky by knowing this guy, but if you look around should be around 175,

I had about the same damage to my rear bumper. Cost me a little over $200 to repaint the entire bumper. At first they wanted to just paint half, but I wanted it to be even.

I don't remember the exact cost, but I had my M5 spoiler painted and installed at the same time.

All together cost me $320.
