I had my mufflers off once...sounded like a loud, annoying, tourqueless sewing machine. Probably an accurate description of what a cutout would sound like.

Ya OK... I had to drive to the exhaust shop without my j-pipe hooked up to the rest of my exhaust and it sounded like total shit and the car felt powerless.

Low end you would probably lose a good amount of torque but if you can wire one to the imrc that would be sweet. . . I will eventually do this I already have the downpipe fabbed up to accept an electric cutout. I will most likely just wire it to a switch first then if I like it wire it to the imrc so it opens when vtec kicks in.

i really enjoy my race ready performance cutouts! you can open or close them whenever you like or run them partially open. Theyre also covered by a lifetime warranty so i wouldnt call it a waste!
