Engine misses occasionally and other minor problems

I've got an 03 CL-P with 85,000 on it. It runs pretty good but sometimes the idle will drop down to about 3-400 as seen on the tach. Also the throttle seems to hickup once in a while. I usually run premium fuel as stated by the owners manual but don't notice a difference when running 87 or 93 octane. Another problem that is probably unrelated is my trottle body or throttle cable stick a little. Sometimes I can't accelerate from a stop smoothly because I have to tap the gas harder than neccesary to get it to unbind. I have cleaned the throttle body and am wondering if I need to grease the throttle cable. How would I do this? PS: spark plugs are relatively new and the car does run pretty smooth 98% of the time.

As far as the idle problems go, remove and clean out your IAC with throttle body/carb cleaner. If that doesn't fix it, it's either worn out or there's a sensor issue. Any codes being thrown?

I'd just go ahead and replace the throttle cable. When they stick it's usually because the cable is starting to fray. They're not expensive and it's a giant pain in the ass when it finally snaps on you and you're nowhere near home.

Cool thanks man. I can't mess up the IAC with carb/throttle body cleaner can I? I thought the sensor could be damaged by the cleaner. I have to pull the throttle body off or can this be done on the car? I was hoping to just lube the cable because it's probably routed in a way that is very hard to get to. I replace a throttle cable on another car and it was not fun. Oh well I guess I got my weekend project. Thanks for the tips....

The sticking throttle was due to varnish build up in the throttle body. I pulled it off and clean it with a wire brush. Nice an smooth now. Car seems to run a little better too. So what is the torque setting on the TB bolts? Thanks.
