Dyno runs after porting and polishing

Hi,

At the following site I have posted a JPG of two dynoruns of my 2001 Acura type S. It is after my porting and polishing of the heads. Note that there are two graphs on the JPG. The first one is horsepower and torque as a function of RPM. Below that is a graph of the corresponding fuel mix. Note that there are two dyno runs, one in red and the other in blue.

http://home.attbi.com/~vittallosr/portpolishdyno.JPG

I picked up 10.5 horsepower and 6.5 lbs of torque. I want to thank Chris from AMS Dyno located in Arlington Hts. 847-709-0530.

Wow, good gains from changing the converter! Im suprised it was that much. Good you removed it and dyno'd again. cool

wait...........................

somethings not right here...

10/23/01 Random Converter Dynoed 17,996 APG 190.00
242HP, Torque 185

10/26/01 Removed random converter 18,092 APG 150.00
224hp-195.1 torque dynoed
replaced stock converter

just prior to the P&P

11/15/02 Dynoed 231.1hp 195.6 torque 30,859 AMS 125.00

You dyno'd 242hp, 185 torque without the port and polish, then /w the port and polish you dyno...

12/31/02 Dynoed 241.9hp 202.1torque 31,870 AMS 100.00

I assume the 242 after converter install must be a type-o.

So you had a valve job done as well. Not just a simple p-n-p. That would explain the gains that other members haven't replicated.

car performance at the track

Complete car performance at the track can be found at

Please note that my profile for this site was a little out of date, and all recent info is on my website. I have deleted all the old info in my rather long signature

i have less into performance parts than you have in dyno fee's.

this had better get you into the high 13's.

Man ... you spent $15,000 on mods.. you should have bought an M3 and keep it stock... or...

You should have spent some dollars on real mods... SC or Custom Turbo...

nice to see you enjoy your CLS as I do... I do still question how I did I do 44kmiles in less than 2.5 years! That is almost being your CLS for 1 hr each day for the last 2.5 years!
