i guess that they can be so insecure sometimes that they have jealousy just your spending some quality time with our rides when it comes to washing, waxing, or putting in some wrench time. that complaining doesn't bother so much as she nearly goes hysterical when i give it some gas when some smart ass thinks he'd hard.
it's funny how that works, sometimes i'm by myself and looking for someone who would be worth giving it a go, and noone seems to be around. only when she's with me is when one pulls up. it's all good. i guess this will all just make them miss us more.

My girl hates that i dump money into my car, but at the same time, we always take my car and she doesn't seem to complain when she's in riding in it. it's not like I totally ignore her though. She always asks to drive my car after I mod it and she's looking to "pimp" her ride out. Unfortunatley she's got a 05 cavalier, and she wants to do ricer-esque things to it and I try to stop her, but at least she understands.

Mine always says its ok and she gives me her opinion if she likes a mod then under her breath she says thats why we are still saving for a house and not living in it. And once she tried to get me to sell the bike so we could get a house quicker . So after she beggedme to take her back and promised never to speak about the all mighty r-1 like that again we are living happy saving for a house again lol.

My wife hates cars.... ironic, isn't it! She doesn't mind me tinkering as long as its not obsessive (which it can be at times). Generally sat (daytime) is when I fool around with the car. Regarding the money... I am quite careful, in that, its the 'out of the system' cash that I use for my car. We have our budget and car-stuff is not part of that equation. I make money buying/selling stuff and that funds my Vegas and mod requirements.

I am obviously banned from modding her car, but am required to do all the maintenance and keep it in good shape. I am waiting to move into my new house where I have a spare garage and probably a spare car too

Oh yeah... I never floor it with her in the car. There are times when I try to sneak in a little 'show of force' in 5th gear against some other car but she catches onto it. The day I had the turbo on I took her for a ride and I explicitly stated that I was going to floor it... she wouldn't talk to me the rest of the day! Scared the bajeezes outta her

I look at performance mods in a way that kind of says "Here's the engineer and physics side of my intellect". I have a job (sales) where I don't use my mind or hands to make something better, or faster, or get better gas mileage. By Friday I'm half burned out from it all and I want to use my hands and mind on my CL-S to improve it. That's my side of the story...everybody's different!

Damn all this guys with girls that HATES them fixing cars. My girl LOVES cars. She FIENDS for speed!!! I spend time and money on my car and she's like hey you see those fools drooling ova your car and she laughs about it. The only draw back I have is whatever I put on my car, she wants done to her car too. I dont mind it if I have money but I am only 23 and $$$ is the only problem but I am one of those lucky guys that my girls LOVE cars. She gets down and dirty. She helps me change tires, change oil, help me install all the shit on my car. On top of that, SHES HOT AND SHES 38D !!! Thats HUGE for an asian girl. I guess its her French side. oh wells. But damn sorry guys, i wish your girls can be more understanding.

Everyone has their vice. Doesnt bother me in the least , in fact I get off on it. Anyway, Its great but there does come a time when modding may be needed to pushed to the back burner. Houses and savings accounts become more important then going fast. But if you can enjoy both why not!
