Difference between auto/manual intermediate shaft?

While being stupid, I completely destroyed the bearing in my intermediate shaft (passenger side) between the axle and the transmission. I found one from a 2003 CLS6 for $140 and am strongly considering it because of how rare it is to find very specific parts like that which might unique between models. So, are the intermediate shafts the same between auto/manual transmissions on CLs and TLs? It would cut the price in half for a used one and I wouldn't be so worried about buying this part now since I'm not sure when another affordable one will appear again. Thanks.

What did you destroy exactly? Did you break the half shaft bearing support, or snap the shaft, or is it just the bearing?

If it's just the bearing they are only $35 for a new OEM unit .

To answer your original question, there is no difference between the CLS auto and CLS6.

Which part did you break?
