What the F*CK. The dealer looked at my car this morning and they heard the noise, so they tightened everything on the underneath and checked the brakes. The tech said his car is lowered and it does the same thing It just started over the weekend, so why would it be the springs........they've been on the car for 6 months now I'm taking it to the place that put the springs on tomarrow at 3:00pm. If they can't fix it, I'm gonna FLIP:angry:

I had the same same problem when I took in my car to have a noise looked at. They said it was my aftermarket sway bars. I brought the original sway bars in and said "prove it" They put the original back on and it was still there.
In my case it was the ECU hitting something under the dash. I gave them a thorough tongue lashing when I arrived to pick up the car and demanded that they NEVER put me through that again.
Unfortunately, because of this incident, I decided not to swap springs.

You can use plastic wire wrap around the dead coils to get rid of the squeaking.
As for aftermarket sway bars, it's the urethane bushings that cause the squeaking. You can use a silicone grease to grease the bushing or wrap the sway bars with teflon tape at the bushing. Unfortunately, eventually the tape will wear out/the lube will squeeze out, so every now and then you will have to redo the process (or switch back to rubber bushings). Ah, the price for performance...

Burning Brakes
If your knocking comes from the rear, then it's the spring coils hitting against among each other. Like Cforez said, you need to wrap your springs with rubber tubes. I'm not sure if CL-S has these on the stock springs, but the stock Accord V6 springs have these. You need to wrap it at two locations:
- between the first coil and the very top coil at top of the spring
- between the progressive rate and linear rate springs. meaning between the section where the coils are together and the coils that have space between them.

Funny, myself, JZ, and NOVAwhiteTypeS have all had Comptech springs from many thousands of miles with no problems. Sounds like some people just can't install springs properly - this includes forgetting to put the rubber guards around certain springs as he just explained. I know mine had those on them.

Also check to see if the bump stops are cut...I was told that they should not be for the CT springs...but I dont know if that would make a difference anyway.

I think they are like rubber things that fit over the top of the coils on the springs...I thought they were on both the front and the back...maybe they might have them on the back from CT and you are supposed to take them off the stock spring on the front...im not sure and I could be way off. I have heard some people say if you dont have the isolaters...it will make noise. Keep us posted on what you find and if you have them on both the front and back. Good luck!

I just dropped my car off at the dealer, and a ech was gettin ballsy with me. he said that the springs are not a factory installed part, so if the springs are causing the problem, I have to pay a finders fee..........BULLSHIT. They looked at the car for an hour and a half two fuckin days ago. I though Acura service was supposed to be the best Crazy Sellout takes his car there all of the time, and he has no problems:angry:

dude, I had a problem due to the dealer, I was running on 5 cylinders and it took a week to find the problem. I also had a minor problem with the front left spring, it was sitting slightly out of position due to installation. Now everything is back to normal & covered under warranty and I love my car the way it is. If I learned anything, its to get modds done by the dealer even if it is expensive, since security is priceless.
