Comptech Exhaust System, Axle back, ?'s

I'm about to order this, just wanted to hear from any of you who own this, used to own this, and what you thought. Pros n cons. From what I can tell it sounds nice, and not obnoxious. Power increase, etc. Thank you all!

I did listen to that on you tube, sounded nice, but never the same as hearing it in person, but that does tell me a lot.

i have the injen and it does scream... from the motor though.. not the exhaust... which is what i want loudest. right now they are about equal and i'd like the exhaust to be louder and prevalent when driving normally all the time instead of politely loud at WOT. and i have plenums, ud pulley, headers, tb spacer, cai and it's still quiet...

maybe ct made them quieter, cause mine were made literally a week prior then shipped out immediately .. cause i ordered them while they were in there production run. so i'd call to make sure they even have any left.

I want a little rumble, nothing crazy. I've had those loud mufflers, in other cars. So this one sounds nice from what I can tell. I have found a few online for under $600.

why do you want to sell them ? i thought you liked them

OP if i were you i'd buy them used so the sound wont change over the time because when muffler is new it sounds sometimes a tid different than if it had few thousand miles

Then it should be what you want. It's exactly that. No downside besides cost. I wanted the same & was happy for 6 years.

I have to agree with this. I loved the CTs and really didnt want to switch, but I needed to open up the exhaust further.

They were nearly silent while cruising, but when you step on the gas they opened up. I drive a lot, so having an annoying exhaust was out of the question.

Thanks I love it barely no it's there till you step on it. It'll give you a little more rumble and is not loud at all. I think ignoring to delete the mid muffler and do bigger piping all the way back although the cl above with the xlr8 test pipe sounds good that is also after having it on the car for a few thousand miles and the car was warmed up

Here is my comptech mufflers with the "loud tip" as i called them (2 1/4 x 18" straight pipes slid in to bypass the baffling) Lots of drone but great sounding, takes about 30 sec to install and remove (if you have the straight thru comptech mufflers)

I have a set of comptech mufflers. They sound great, nice and deep but no rasp or drone. I recommend them. I don't run them anymore simply because I felt they were a bit quiet for me but that's my only gripe about them. I wouldn't hesitate to run them again.

Not in the foreseeable future. I'll throw them back on when I take my Superdraggers off to polish this summer. I've had at least 3 other offers for them already.

for whatever it's worth. I've been driving my car around for the last 2 days with the windows down now and i like the way it sounds now... i guess it's much quieter through the car in the cabin .. really weird. but yea it's just loud enough for me to be content with my purchase... still quiet but it's definitely noticeably more deep than the OEMs, and mine had holes in them so changing over was less noticeable for me than if they were in normal condition

i don't THINK they've gotten louder tho i could b wrong... it's just now i'm cruising with the windows down and it's evident i have changed the mufflers now... very subtle yet mature at the same time... couldnt b happier to be honest.

Well if you could PM me what your price was perhaps I will get in line for interested buyers. I would imagine that the 3.5l would benefit a lot from this setup over stock (with ct headers and hf cat)
